The thread continues....if it hasn't continued elsewhere! @Lateforall it was me who questioned Lobella loves depression wears lippy campaign. I get that the idea is that being a bit glam might be a way of coping. And i have been guilty of putting my face on to carry on in the world. I get that not everyone with pnd is sat at home in pjs unshowered with greasy hair. But I just find the whole thing so false on her account - maybe that is because I know of her in real life.

But I think so many of them have massivley over exaggerated aspects of their lives because it sells. Whether that is FODs clumsy parenting or whatever. But it really doesnt sit well

I'd say that was calling out trolls. If you give out personal attacks which what you just described is, are they just supposed to sit back and let them spew their bile?
There's an old saying - don't dish out what you can't take yourself.

CH responded by naming and shaming her and said that she doesn't care if Denise gets a shedload of abuse, tough shit basically

EeebyMum · 04/04/2018 13:22

Caroline Hirons is an unpleasant bully

PavlovaPrincess · 04/04/2018 13:23

Blimey, I go out for a bit and it all kicks off 😳

Lisa Dawson's response is disappointing but not surprising. Getting fed up of 'it's a job, but not a real job, so we don't have to follow any of the rules about anything.'

HolyMountain · 04/04/2018 13:27

Delete and block. As a well known, probably highly paid blogger, Utuber and IGer she didn't need to respond at all.

I think Caroline acted equally as badly as that woman by splashing her name all over IG and would have known full well that her fangirls/boys would have deluged her with unpleasant messages. It's like setting the dogs on someone.

Doctorbubbles · 04/04/2018 13:27

@Cady from what i can gather she did more than simply 'call out trolls' - I agree, don't dish out what you can't take. However Ch went a little OTT - not only did she call out the person in question but she also gathered a lot of information about the person, including where she lives, and told them that she had down this (quite threatening?) she then also posted about the person on her Instagram (despite the original comment being on YouTube) along with the woman's IG account details and then stated if her followers sent the person shit then she only had herself to blame. To me, this reads as Ch asking her followers to give this person abuse?! Therefore it is not a proportionate respnse

ElspethFlashman · 04/04/2018 13:32

Yeah and something about the ladies daughter/granddaughter?

Somebody pointed out that if CH was a guy it would all be massively creepy and threatening.

Doctorbubbles · 04/04/2018 13:33

@ElspethFlashman yes i saw that comment and 100% agree!

mrscampbellblackreturns · 04/04/2018 13:35

CH went way overboard. She is a brand and would be well advised to not bring her own brand into disrepute.

I just don't ignore why she just doesn't block/ignore people who write nasty stuff.

CadyHeron · 04/04/2018 13:35

That works two ways though, holy. Some of the replies are here are "like setting the dogs on someone."
People on here have confessed to googling IGer's addresses, accounts, speculating their finances, gossiping and personal insults.
It's not right from either way.

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 04/04/2018 13:35

I think she has outnet herself as quite the bully TBH.

PavlovaPrincess · 04/04/2018 13:36

If Lisa Dawson is following the rules surely this thread doesn't apply to her anyway, so I don't understand why she'd get herself involved publicity.

CadyHeron · 04/04/2018 13:36

I just don't ignore why she just doesn't block/ignore people who write nasty stuff.

Then you'd no doubt be complaining that it was stifling free speech, ignoring.

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 04/04/2018 13:36

Outnet? Gosh I obviously shop too much, that should be outed!

PavlovaPrincess · 04/04/2018 13:37

And CH's behaviour is despicable. There's no way she posted all that last night without knowing what was going to happen to the woman who left the comment.

Doctorbubbles · 04/04/2018 13:38

This thread is really getting somewhere. there is a home account that i follow who I really like (it's not a massive account) and she is getting 'happy post' at least 3 times a week. She always tags the brand etc. I do not for a minute think she is getting paid for doing this. However, after getting educated about such matters here i started to think that maybe she needed to highlight that she didn't pay for these items. Today for the first time she has used #gift. I honestly feel quite proud of her. and all you guys for what you are achieving on here!

HolyMountain · 04/04/2018 13:40

Some of the replies are here are "like setting the dogs on someone."

I disagree completely with that statement.

To my knowledge no Instagrammer has been subject to threatening messages as a result of these threads.

They may have received questions asking about their reluctance to be transparent regarding payment, free gifts but seeing as they are trying to entice followers to buy into whatever they're flogging there's nothing wrong with that kind of conversation.

mrscampbellblackreturns · 04/04/2018 13:42

Hardly stifling free speech cady. No one expects bloggers etc to reply to every comment.

Mumofkids · 04/04/2018 13:43

CadyHeron no one has confessed to anything of the sort... people previously pointed out on other threads that some IGers have put out so much sensitive info in their sharing that if someone wanted to they could find out anything they wanted and that in turn could put the family/home/children potentially at risk.
No one has confessed to weirdly doing the things you suggest and if accounts had not over shared in the first place that would not even have been a topic point.

3asAbird · 04/04/2018 13:45

Just looked at caroline h insta she seems vile and her fan girls are pretty nasty.
Hpw many other insta mummues apart from mrs meldrum have sided with Caroline.

A few months ago a freind had a very nasty experience with not dressed as lamb the woman whipped up her fans and controversy then announced she got what she wanted extra traffic to her blog.

Doctorbubbles · 04/04/2018 13:45

@Cady I do agree with you on this one with regards to people googling people's personal details. If it is done to highlight the lack of security some may have then ok, that can only be helpful to know, but if it is to be used as a veiled threat, that's not ok

Mumofkids · 04/04/2018 13:48

People were called stalkers though for suggesting publicising your kids schools, nurseries, addresses, home layouts, place of works etc etc was not wise or safe and went against advice we should be giving young children on internet safety.

Doctorbubbles · 04/04/2018 13:49

I meant helpful to know for the person who has a lack of security by the way - not useful for a stalker :/

PavlovaPrincess · 04/04/2018 13:51

@Doctorbubbles nobody was threatening the bloggers. They were just highlighting how easily available this information is.

miamimice · 04/04/2018 13:52

CH has probably just proved the point people were trying to make about why it is a bad idea to share too much information on yourself online. I found the tone of her rant very sinister when she mentioned addresses.

Doctorbubbles · 04/04/2018 13:56

@Pavlovaprincess - yes that's what i was getting at-wasn't clear, sorry
