Ive just moved into a new houseshare.

When i was moving my stuff in i heard one of the flatmates rummaging in the kitchen so i went downstairs and she scuttled back to her (downstairs) room. Hmm i thought... anyway, i was then making food this evening and hwr boyfriend came in and said im Courtneys boyfriend (me having no idea who she is). They're now chatting really fucking loudly downstairs and i feel like it would be awkward to go and make a brew.

Aibu to think shes been rude to deliberately ignore her only (new) flatmate!

TutTutBut you might wanna start by reading the full thread...

I just finished reading the updates. I suspect she may have had issues with flat mates bullying her in the past so now she tried to bully every new person who comes.

I wouldn't even move back there tbh she's bitter and might do something to you out of spite.

Smellyoulateralligater · 09/04/2018 06:53

Bloody hell, that must be costing you a fortune - can you stay in a travelodge mon night- Friday morning?

Motoko · 09/04/2018 10:04

Glad it will be sooner that she goes due to breach of contract, and that the LL isn't still expecting you to stay and pay rent while she's still there.

As I said, it doesn't sound like a flatSHARE is suitable for her. She should look for a studio flat that she can have all to her precious self.

I think you should move back in once she's out. It will save you hunting for a new place, and paying all the fees again.

TomRavenscroft · 09/04/2018 10:34

I'm glad it's getting sorted, OP. Sounds like a nightmare for you but at least your deposit is preserved.

It does make me laugh now looking back at all the 'Oh, maybe she's just a bit shy' posts.

I'm in the Smoke and If I had a spare room I'd offer it to you for a couple of weeks. Your commute is NOT funny!

Are you going to move back into this flat or do you think you'd rather look for somewhere else?

Threeminis · 09/04/2018 11:13

Oh op, what a horrible time you've been having.. Thanks

LexieLulu · 09/04/2018 13:50

Glad you spoke to LL! I cannot believe her!

GrandTheftWalrus · 09/04/2018 14:40

Just saw updates. Glad it's getting sorted.

stayanotherday · 09/04/2018 21:14

Glad landlord's on your side and it's getting sorted. Thought there was history and not surprised at this behaviour. Hope your things are locked in your room and the room is safe as that will be her next target.

DragonMummy1418 · 12/04/2018 07:47

Any update op?

PennyDreadfull · 15/04/2018 21:11

Is she out yet OP?

stayanotherday · 20/04/2018 23:02

Has she left and is your stuff untouched?

DragonMummy1418 · 21/04/2018 10:33

@Uhuhhoney any update?

stayanotherday · 23/04/2018 00:29

Are you back in the house and has she left?

Poppyfields21 · 23/04/2018 01:00

Oh wow, you always hear these stories of flat mates doing crazy things but you always assume they’re a huge exaggeration! Glad the LL was reasonable and hope you’re back in the flat (or found somewhere else) and not having to commute daily!
