I can't of dropped 40lbs in 9 days...what is going on ?

I am a very fat 20 stone woman with medical issues.

Currently following a very strict low cal medical eating plan under dietician for the past 9 days, another 13 days to go :(

The digital bathroom scales which are still working correctly for my DH, tells me I have dropped 40 pounds over the last 9 days !

That can't be right, can it ?

I do minimum of 5 miles walking a day (11, 000 steps via Fitbit), 15 minutes of body weight with trx straps exercise x 3 a week and occasional swim at the weekend with my family.

Is this broken scales, water loss or a completed anomoly and I will be much heavier again tomorrow.

Just for completeness. I always use same scales on same point of the floor, when I wake up in the morning. After using toilet but before I step into the shower and naked !

Of course I would be delighted if it was a real loss but logically it just can't be, can it ?

I was on a strict diet for 8 months last year. I only lost 6 pounds. Boo hoo.

Well done OP on the weight loss so far, thanks for the update, and well done on giving low FODMAP a wider audience.

I'm one of the luckier ones - I followed it strictly for two weeks last year and it made a massive difference to my IBS in that short time.
I do avoid raw onion as I still don't tolerate it well but am ok with a small amount of it (and garlic) in cooked food.

Nofilter · 13/06/2018 12:24

That’s brilliant!! Keep it up ;-) Good for you I do hope you realise how well you are doing and have a little pat on the back moment xx

QuimReaper · 13/06/2018 12:33

Thanks for the update OP, you're doing terrifically well! I bet you find the comments start rolling in soon - quite often with weight loss you can lose quite steadily for a while but then all of a sudden something shifts and everyone notices.

notapizzaeater · 13/06/2018 12:39
