Colleague left me stranded in the snow

Work alongside a colleague, I currently have no car and have been one of the only few people to get into work with all this bad snow. Today, we got the go ahead to go home and she has dropped me off to the closest train station. There is one train showing up as running in the opposite direction, no staff here at the station and no one available to collect me.

AIBU to think she could have driven the 20 minutes to drop me home (she has a 4x4)???

Well, tomorrow is going to be a fun day at work for OP.

That's if she can actually get there.

ReanimatedSGB · 05/03/2018 00:06

It's mostly back to normal weather conditions, isn't it? (certainly is in London.)

Rockerfeller · 05/03/2018 03:10

Wow. Note to self don't post about Work on the inter web!

Jobjobjob · 05/03/2018 04:29

Hilarious- please be real Prudence

cambodianfoxhound · 05/03/2018 06:07

I would be pissed off if I was you too, but then I would have driven you home no problem at all. I cannot imagine leaving any colleague at a train station at the mercy of the trains in this type of weather - let alone a heavily pregnant one.

Yes she has no moral or legal duty to help you out but I would have thought most normal people wouldn't think twice and would actually insist on taking you home.

Your colleague sounds very self absorbed.

runningoutofjuice · 05/03/2018 06:08

Not sure if Prudence is new to MN and just posts like an old hand or is just having fun at op's expense. Either way, who cares, it's fun to read.

Oooh! Wonder if the OP gets to work today? 😂

IrisAtwood · 05/03/2018 07:40

Wow, Prudence has an excellent grasp of MN use as a first time user!
Bold, OK - you only need to scroll down and read the instructions.
But @usernames? I’d been using MN for over a year before I learnt that one.
Maybe Prudence has an eidetic memory and scanned the MN guide before posting?
She’ll be ASing next and I’m surprised that she hasn’t suggested that the OP LTB, gets her ducks in a row, logs it with 101, before asking that this thread goes in classics.

BadLad · 05/03/2018 07:44

But @usernames? I’d been using MN for over a year before I learnt that one.

Tagging people with @? That is not unique to this forum at all.

hungryhippo90 · 05/03/2018 07:45

Prudence has made the thread!

Obsidion · 05/03/2018 08:07

It took you a year to learn @username? Hmm

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 05/03/2018 08:10

I’ve never ever understood why people claim MN is so hard to use and why anyone that automatically knows how to use it is a troll Hmm

TheDailyMailLovesTheEUReally · 05/03/2018 08:18

It's not beyond the bounds of possibility that first time posters may use other online fora. Shocking as it may be, Mumsnet is not the only talk site on the internet... Grin

Tagging people with @ is not unique to MN at all - in fact MN was quite late to the party with that particular functionality.

Tomselleckhaskindeyes · 05/03/2018 08:31

So glad I din’t Work with either of you to be honest.

I mean it’s clearly fake, but @ing and AS is pretty much standard features on most forums.

Rosielily · 05/03/2018 09:46

She’ll be ASing next
I know I'm missing the point of the thread but AS? Ann Summers?? Smile

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 05/03/2018 09:47

Advanced search.

MN really isn’t hard to use.
