To wonder why anything that is good for kids is seen as 'middle class'?

Where did this weird, slightly derisory attitude come from?

Organic food? Middle class,
Fresh air and countryside? Middle class.
Clothing made of natural fibres? Middle class.
Breastfeeding? Middle class.
BLW? Middle class.
Books? Middle class.

Why are all the positive stereotypes seen as middle class?

Think about working class parenting stereotypes and it's all negative: sky tele, Mac Donald's, PlayStation, obesity....

Something very weird going on with our perceptions....

Eh? I haven’t come across a book not available on kindle for years.

Bollocks. I'm regularly filling in the bit asking for 'this book to be available on Kindle'. Mind you, my fiction and non-fiction interests can be off the wall and I rarely, if ever, read books in any top 20 list, unless they're cookery. For example, reprints of mediaeval grimoires are rarely available on Kindle 😂

Oh, and I often have copies of books both in hard/paperback and on Kindle. I still prefer actual books to hold and read and reread umpteen times, while the Kindle is convenient for travel and cheapness.

I think there are also a lot of things bad for a kid which are seen as middle class such as a purely vegan diet.
