Annoyed at unexpected vagina poke.

I was in the bath with DP, nothing sexy just washing and about to watch a programme on the tablet.

As I was finding the episode DP unexpectedly poked my vagina, in surprise I aggressively splashed her in the face with water to make her back off and was annoyed at her. I told her it shocked me (as wasn't even looking in her direction so no warning) and said she had to apologise to me. I said it could be considered assault nd she replied with "Oh, Bath..." and a withering look.

She has refused to apologise, and is now in a strop as I was "horrible" to her.

AIBU to wait for an apology over this?

Really saddened by the responses here.

Nothing about this post suggested the OP was soliciting other stories, and if it were a man doing the unsolicited poking people would certainly have something to say about it.

greensockbluesock · 21/02/2018 17:30

Is it really dangerous to watch tablet in bath??? I always take my phone in

HotCrossBunFight · 21/02/2018 17:30

Come on Mumsnet, if this posters husband had poked her unexpectedly there'd be outrage and sympathy.

FluffyWuffy100 · 21/02/2018 17:30

It's normal for partners to share a bath surely!?

Nope. Most people don't have hot tubs. Most people watch TV on their TV and bath/shower solo.

Wtf is a poke in the vagina? Surely this is commonly referred to as foreplay. Does your girlfriend need written permission or something?

Erm, I'm doubting the OP because I don't think a woman without serious issues would do this to another woman. If we're actually talking about a poke to/in the vagina.

I would absolutely be stunned if my DH thought it appropriate, as foreplay or not...

C8H10N4O2 · 21/02/2018 17:31

How do you get poked in the vagina when washing hair?

Depends which hair I guess!

We could now seque into a shaving thread :D

C8H10N4O2 · 21/02/2018 17:31

"Segue" not Seque!

mumonashoestring · 21/02/2018 17:32

What position were you sitting in that allowed her to suddenly poke you in the vagina? Or do you mean vulva? If you are a longstanding member and not a thrillseeking teenage boy, I can't believe how many women seem to know nothing about their own anatomy.

What stopped you from reacting with a simple 'what the fuck was that?' Just ask her what the hell she was trying to do, have the conversation and stop sniping at each other.

Tainbri · 21/02/2018 17:32

Hope she didn't get her foot stuck! Grin

DixieFlatline · 21/02/2018 17:32

Come on Mumsnet, if this posters husband had poked her unexpectedly there'd be outrage and sympathy.

If people believed it.

FranticallyPeaceful · 21/02/2018 17:33

If this was a husband touching her vagina without consent you’d all be going mad.

But remember, on mumsnet, women can’t sexually assault. So chances are they’ll call you a liar and laugh.

And people wonder why the men vs women sexual assault complaints are so vastly different. It’s a woman so it’s okay?

I’d tell your partner to fuck off if I’m being honest. Having a bath together doesn’t give her an invite in or around your vagina

CaptainKirkssparetupee · 21/02/2018 17:34

People aren't going mad because fits a story someone has made up, not because it's two women

FranticallyPeaceful · 21/02/2018 17:34

Eyeroll 🙄

I have now seen the word vagina far too many times for a Wednesday evening.

Bluedoglead · 21/02/2018 17:34

What did she poke you with that it accidentally slipped into your vagina? Was she wearing a strap on in the bath?

BathFallout · 21/02/2018 17:35

OK, the bath is relevant as she was angry at getting splashed but let's reframe it.

I am heterosexual woman in bed with my husband, I am finding a programme on the tablet when out of nowhere he reaches over to me and tries to stick a finger into my vagina (vulva is the outside surely! vagina was correct!)

Now is it funny?

Your partner should respect your body and boundaries not be in a huff

I’m not sure why everyone is being so horrid. Is it really totally so unbelievable? I dont think you are BU. I think it’s an unpleasant thing to do.

Bluedoglead · 21/02/2018 17:36

So she stuck her finger accidentally into your vagina in the bath?

What the fuck sort of shape were the pair of you in?

BathFallout · 21/02/2018 17:37

Also we very regularly watch films in the bath, with the tablet not plugged into the mains and placed on the toilet seat. It's not more dangerous than using your phone in the bath.

Bluedoglead · 21/02/2018 17:37

Romantic.

RottenTomatoes959 · 21/02/2018 17:38

I really can't understand why you're getting a hard time. Don't pay attention BATH no you're not overreacting. I would be disgusted if DP tried that with me.

FranticallyPeaceful · 21/02/2018 17:38

People are being nasty because in the realm of mumsnet it’s men that do this stuff and the thought of a woman doing it doesn’t fit their agenda that men are ruining the world and women are blameless fragile faultless flowers. So it must be a lie
