Can I schedule mine ? I'll need a double appointment. I took early retirement at 55 when I still had at least 25 working years to be flogged out of me. DH pays every single outgoing we have while I prat about on my allotment or in my sewing room. I am MIL to not one but two unfortunate DILs and I look after their DC for 3 days a week where I feed them chocolate, take them to grimy soft play and nod to DILs instructions whilst doing as I please because it never did mine any harm.

Phew! Thanks Rollonweekend. Glad that you're, erm, cool that I'm cool.

There are times I miss my career but I am moving into volunteering in a similar field. In terms of independence I have more of that than any family member, they left at 7:30 I will leave at 4pm to collect them and the time in between is mine to do with as I will. I no longer have any teacher or managers telling me how to spend my time, only I do that.
