I'm politically neautral on Brexit, it's a complicated issue, but I'm interested in the consequences that are coming out now. If you voted for Brexit, what were your reasons?

Do you remember the Budget we were going to have the day after the Referendum?
How come that never happened.

Because Cameron, despite saying that he would stay on to see the decision through prior to the Referendum, immediately threw in the towel. Leaving Osborne in a sort of limbo. If Cameron had stayed on, who knows? There might have been a budget.

Thanks too to bista1 - some of the most sensible and thoughtful comments seen in a long time.

Many thanks but I seem to have scared everyone away...

The NatCen analysis of the annual British Social Attitudes survey is interesting about this.
www.bsa.natcen.ac.uk/media/39149/bsa34_brexit_final.pdf

It concludes that a preference for small c conservative authoritarianism and a dislike of immigration were the main drivers.

It also analyses the impact of age, educational attainment, geography and political voting patterns.
