Just that. What time do you all get up in the morning?

I get up at 6am and it's always a struggle as I seem to be a night owl

Alarm goes at 6.30. Up out of bed at 6.45. DD leaves for school at 7.30, then I leave for work at 7.50.

nippey · 29/01/2018 07:48

My alarm goes off at 5am, I get ready and then wake DD up at 6, we leave at 625. I am a morning person so it’s worked well, means I get to leave work at 330/4 and get a good chunk of evening time before I go to bed which is usually at 930, DD goes at 7.

Purpledahlia88 · 29/01/2018 07:48

7.30, I set alarm for 7 and hit snooze every ten mins until half past. Have to be out the door for school run by 8.15 latest

applecatchers36 · 29/01/2018 07:51

Between 5am and 6am depending on when my two preschoolers wake up, usually get one lie in a week, maybe until 9am, when DH gets up with them at the weekend.. This does not come easily to me..

TheImprobableGirl · 29/01/2018 07:51

Alarm set for 7:45, need to be out of bed by 8- Leave the house at 8:35 to get to school at 8:50

moomoogalicious · 29/01/2018 07:53

6.30. Shower, Make tea for me and dh and get the kids up at 7. Everyone is out of the house by 8.15

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 29/01/2018 07:55

4.30am Sad and its awful! Get in from work at 5pm cook dinner, housework, have a bath bit of TV then bed. It's so monotonous having no time to do much during the week.

Curlyshabtree · 29/01/2018 08:05

07:10 (to be precise!) with the option of a few minutes snooze. Mornings are always pretty leisurely here, not sure how we managed that. We’re out of the house by 8:40

MsJuniper · 29/01/2018 08:07

Ideally 7.15, usually 7.30. Need to leave at 8.30am for an 8.55am school start.

CiderwithBuda · 29/01/2018 08:09

Alarm at 6.45 if I'm showering first thing which I was this morning. Wake DS at 7.15. I put kettle on, feed dogs and sit down with cuppa and MN until DS comes down and I do his breakfast, he is 16 though so could do it himself but he isn't a morning person. Take him to school at 8.10 then back home.

If I'm not showering alarm goes at 7 and I shower after I get back from taking DS to school.

Eliza9917 · 29/01/2018 08:09

I should get up at 7.30. It's currently 8.08 and I'm still in bed. But, I was sick last night so it's a case of better late then never this morning.

Spikeyball · 29/01/2018 08:10

Around 5am but will have been awake before that with ds who wakes early or during the night.

worrywor · 29/01/2018 08:16

I lay in bed until dd wakes up (7mo), still asleep now!
DH starts work at 8, gets up usually 7.30 and takes dog for a wee and then off to work.
We are a lazy household

NaughtyNoraTheNamechanger · 29/01/2018 08:19

7 ish, but I don't have DC. I'm out the house by 8 for my bus! Feels like being up and out by 5am though as I'm lucky if I get to sleep before 1am at the mo!

whiskyowl · 29/01/2018 08:19

6.30. DH is always showered, breakfasted and in work by 7.30.

Tigger85 · 29/01/2018 08:20

430am for work which starts at 0600. My OH sometimes is up at 0300 for work, sometimes as late as 0600. No school run yet, but we will have to work around each other's shifts so it will always be on a rest day for one of us.

RB68 · 29/01/2018 08:21

Alarm 6.50 and 7.00 (I like a 10 min wake up time) 7.12 downstairs for brekkie and the news and weather DD school bus 7.38 and me finish cuppa and upstairs to get ready and can work from 8 but usually 9 after chores or something I need to do house related eg. bill paying or tax returns or whatever. Sometimes I just use that hr to do what I want to do on the net etc I WAH

NicheArea · 29/01/2018 08:32

I get up at 6. I don't know why- it's not necessary, just a habit. I like to shower, have a coffee in peace and dry my hair before I get DCs up. They leave at 8 and 8:30. I don't actually leave the house myself as I don't work.
I think i feel guilty that DCs are having to get up and out, so I get up earlier even though there is no need... I usually get 2 loads of washing and the hoovering done before they leave. Maybe I'm just a lark - tho I think i'm a Third Bird- somewhere between Owl and Lark..

yourhavingagiraffee · 29/01/2018 08:34

It can vary from 6.30 - 7.45.We leave for school 8.45.

NoFear84 · 29/01/2018 08:38

Varies from 630 to 745 we leave for school run at 845 live 5 mins walk away.

Sometimes I work from home (hence later wake up) I get all uniforms etc ready night before and bags. I shower in the evening.

If it’s packed lunch I do that the night before.

Sometimes earlier. If DH is Home and working locally then he’ll get up with them before going to the office and I can sleep til 8am!!

so it’s all very varied! 8am day super treat!!

Notsoaccidentproneanymore · 29/01/2018 08:43

Get up at 7.05 (more like 7.15!!!), quick bath, make up, get dressed.

Dh makes a cup of tea and brings it up to me.

Grab breakfast and lunch out if the fridge, plus fruit.

Leave the house at 7.55. However ds2 is 15 and looks after himself.

We leave the house together & I take him half way to school.

I’m usually at my desk around 8.30.

Compared to when they were at Junior school, when I’d get up at the same time, we’d leave the house at 8.30, walk to school, walk to the bus stop, get to work around 9.40. Finish at 2.40, bus, school, walk. Home by 4.

I’m not a morning person. I just can’t get up before 7.

annandale · 29/01/2018 08:45

6.20. I could get away with later but hate feeling rushed.

G1ggleloop · 29/01/2018 08:48

Work days I get up around 4am giving me 30mins to get ready and leave the house. But I pack my lunch the night before and wash my hair and shower before bed so only need a quick wash in the mornings. In the summer I have to allow another 15 mins for a shower in the morning to avoid sweaty hair. Non work days I get up at 715 to take littlest to nursery or if no nursery 745/8 for the school run. Always have to wake my kids up. They've always been good sleepers. We're very lucky

elQuintoConyo · 29/01/2018 08:54

If I'm not taking him to school, then 8am. He'll leave with DH to school at 8.45.
If I'm taking him on the bus, then up at 7am so I can shower and prepare breakfast before waking DS, bus is at 8.15.
DH and I both work from home, so no need to commute.

Cookandbook · 29/01/2018 08:57

Wow I am never complaining about my mornings again!
I get up at 7.30, get the kids up at 7.45 and we all leave for school and work at 8.35.
