Just that. What time do you all get up in the morning?

I get up at 6am and it's always a struggle as I seem to be a night owl

Have a coffee in bed 6.15-6.45 ish (hot water dispenser by my bed). Up 6.45-7, get DD up and fed, out door by 7.45 to walk dog, then drop DD at school 8.30. Lovely DDog is ancient so only.needs about 20mins thsse days. Back home to start work by 9 ( WFH)

bigchris · 29/01/2018 07:02

6.30

TheOrigRightsofwomen · 29/01/2018 07:03

Varies.
Single parent and I manage my work hours around contact and his and my own activities.

I tend to set the alarm for 6am and get some work done before he wakes, but now and again I'll have a 'lie in' until 7.15am and not start work until after school run.

I will set my alarm to allow me to have a cup of tea in bed before I actually get up; I can't stand getting up straight away - I've done my years of that!

baramewe · 29/01/2018 07:03

5-5.30 Confused you lot are so lucky! 6.30 would be a dream! But then I have a toddler Grin don't even leave the house til just after 8, I do most chores in the morning and chill in the evening

Commuterface · 29/01/2018 07:04

When I’m at work (3 days a week) I get up at 5.15am. I have to get DDs ready for school and leave the house at 6.40am. When I’m not at work but DH is and DDs are at school I still get up by 6.30am. It’s amazing how time runs away with me in the mornings!

TittyGolightly · 29/01/2018 07:04

Fellow owl here too. Mornings kill me.

I’m up at 6:15-6:30am depending on where I’m working and whether my hair needs washing. DD wakes at 7:30am and we leave for school at 8:10am.

Kpo58 · 29/01/2018 07:05

6:30

trinitybleu · 29/01/2018 07:05

Alarm at 5:45, out of bed by 6:15 (am a bugger for a snooze button), shower, make up, hair dried and straightened, dress, out the door for 7:45. OH does ironing and packed lunch for DD.

I am a slow coach.

TittyGolightly · 29/01/2018 07:05

I have to get DDs ready for school and leave the house at 6.40am.

How far away is school?! Shock

BellMcEnd · 29/01/2018 07:07

Alarm goes off at 5.45 and I get up at 5.55. 3 primary aged DCs and the school is 3 miles away. I could get up a bit later but I hate rushing in the morning and prefer to take it a bit more slowly without any last minute panics.

Am NOT a natural early bird by any means!

Commuterface · 29/01/2018 07:07

Lol titty They go to a childminder who brings them to school. I’m on the 7am train into London.

whyismykid · 29/01/2018 07:08

Alarm goes off at 7pm, only rule is the kids and I need to be dressed and down stairs for 7:30am - then breakfast (I eat mine whilst unloading the dishwasher) and 8am is when they get sent off to do their face and teeth and pack bags (at about 8:20 I get shouty!) - then we leave at 8:30am to walk to school - I’m back by 9:15 to start work if I have work on.

Stpancras · 29/01/2018 07:09

5.45. But live overseas and school here starts at 7.3am 😂😂

BeyondThePage · 29/01/2018 07:11

6.30 - I'm a lark... a natural early bird.

wake up at 6.30 every day, weekends included. Weekday alarm is set for 6.45 - never actually needed.

blinkineckmum · 29/01/2018 07:12

Alarm at 6.45. Up at 7. Out the house at 8.10.

Rylanmakesmyheartsmile · 29/01/2018 07:12

DH is up at 5.30 and leaves at 6.40 to be in work by 7am. (The joy of leaving early is he avoids all the traffic.)

My alarm goes off at 6.30 but I'm still not out of bed yet. The DC are all old enough to get themselves sorted in the morning. I'll usually emerge at around 7.30 but I never shower in the morning - either the night before or once the DC have already gone to school.

DS's alarm goes off at 6.30 and they all tend to get up around then.

DS leaves at 7.50 for school, DDs leave at 8.50 and walk up themselves (we live a stone's throw from the school) but have a ton of time to do piano practice, a bit of reading, some art or whatever in the morning before they go. It's a rather leisurely morning around here despite the early-ish start.

RockinRobinTweets · 29/01/2018 07:12

School days 7.30
Work days 7

Easy life!

heron98 · 29/01/2018 07:14

I get up at 5 as I go for a jog first.

shopaholic85 · 29/01/2018 07:15

On days that I work I am up at 5.30am so I can get ready in peace before DD wakes up. And then I get back into bed at 6.30am to snuggle and bf DD before I leave to catch my train just before 7am. I could get up at 6am but I would miss the cuddles as don't get back home until 5pm. On days I am home, I get up between 7-8am depending on when DD wakes up.

TowerRingInferno · 29/01/2018 07:17

6:40
Need to be out of the house with children by 7:45

Ragwort · 29/01/2018 07:18

About 6am - but I am a morning person, I love mornings, don't need to leave until 8.30am but I am not someone who could jump up, shower, dress and leave for work Grin.

Even on days when I am not working (like today) I have been up pottering around from 6ish.

I had a really good habit a few years ago of going for a 4 mile walk every morning, took me just under an hour and really set me up for the day, would love to get back into that.

JennyOnAPlate · 29/01/2018 07:19

We’re all up at 6.30. Dds wake earlier than that but read in their rooms.

murmuration · 29/01/2018 07:19

Between 5:45-6am. I'm an early bird, so find the getting to bed appropriately my struggle. My ability to actually do anything finishes about 9pm, and I'm often not done, so make a mess of stuff in the evening!

I'd only to need to get up at 7:30am with DD if all I was doing was taking her to school then going to work - but I prefer to get some work done in the morning before she wakes, so I can be home earlier.

chibsortig · 29/01/2018 07:20

6.30am and i need a gallon of coffee to come round with. I usually spend half an hour mumsnetting with coffee before organising myself.
Ive the two oldest to chivvy along they leave at 7.30am for high school OH left at 5ish for work. Ive to get one of the toddlers to nursery then back with the other to do the housework and catch up on uni work before 11.45am pick up for the other toddler. I'm still here mumsnetting and yawning. Plus point the washers on.

AJPTaylor · 29/01/2018 07:23

I am between jobs at the moment..
Dh gets up at 5.30. I get up at 7.30. Take dd to school, home at 9. Have a nice bath listening to the radio.i did spend the previous years getting teens and toddlers out of the house and at my desk by 8.30!
