Just that. What time do you all get up in the morning?

I get up at 6am and it's always a struggle as I seem to be a night owl

Wake by 6, up by 6:30/45. Don’t leave until 8, but like time to faff, have a bath, put a wash on etc. I’d prefer to sleep later but DH gets up early ( he does bring me tea in bed though).

bettycat81 · 29/01/2018 07:25

Alarm goes off at 7am, I get up and get DS some breakfast before going back to bed. Up at 7.30, homework (reading, spellings, timestables) and lunch prep from 7.50 out the door to school at 8.20 ish. We have quite a chilled morning...

turkeyboots · 29/01/2018 07:26

Travelling to office day - 5.30
Working from home and school run - 7.30

Mummybo8 · 29/01/2018 07:27

Up at 6.30, get myself showered & ready. DD1 (4) gets up at 7.30, get her dressed, hair done etc. Lift DD2 (1) at 7.45. Downstairs for breakfast. Coats on, shoes on and out the door at 8.30.

I hate how long everything takes me, as lots of you manage to do in 1 hour what takes me 2! I would absolutely love an extra hour in bed but no matter how hard I try, DD1 wants help with everything in the morning and obviously I have to do everything for DD2 also. My husband works away so no one to help with any of it.

Eolian · 29/01/2018 07:28

7.00. I'm in bed at 10.30, read until lights iff at 11.

mizu · 29/01/2018 07:28

Alarm goes off at 6:15. I usually get up at 6:45 Grin

Depends on morning and which campus I'm working but usually out the door 7:45. Have to drop DDs at school early some days so need to leave earlier at times.

I do struggle - I am not a morning person and could easily stay in bed for another hour.

I don't drink coffee either - no reason, just never have - and so need to wake myself up with a glass of orange juice!

chocolateiamydrug · 29/01/2018 07:29

7:30 but we only leave 8:40. Gives me a good hour to sort the kids and quickly blitz the house so everything is tidy when we come back after work/school.

BikeRunSki · 29/01/2018 07:31

6.45 with a view to leaving for work/breakfast club at 7.45. Most of that time is spent persuading the dc (6,9) to get up.

I am a night owl. I resent every moment I am up before at least 10am.

Megsmcgoo · 29/01/2018 07:31

6.15 to leave house at 6.40 Monday to Friday and I hate every day I do it. Get everything ready the night before and get to bed for 10pm. Hour and a half commute Envy

Weekends vary between 10 and 1pm Grin

LadyOfTheCanyon · 29/01/2018 07:31

If I have to go to the flower market then I get up around 3.30 - shower, make up, feed cat, half hour drive to market get there about 5.
Then straight to work and start around 7.

Non market days up at 5.30.

earlylifecrisis · 29/01/2018 07:32

I get up at 6.30, usually awoken by my 2 year old who always gets up at this time. I then get dressed and chat to him, then wake DD at 7 if she hasn't woken. We have breakfast and get dressed reasonably leisurely then I leave with him at 7.55 and DH takes DD to school half an hour later.

pinotgrigio1 · 29/01/2018 07:32

Single parent
No work day - 7am
Work day when the children are here - 6:30am
Work day when the children are with their dad - 7:20am

That's the alarm set time, but I'm a rubbish sleeper and am almost always awake before the alarm.

Mummybo8 · 29/01/2018 07:32

Does anyone else end up waking at the same time at weekends and find themselves unable to get back to sleep, even though you’re exhausted? 😫

DeathMetalMum · 29/01/2018 07:32

6.45 Here, downstairs by 7 dc have breakfast and back upstairs by 7.30 leaving for school at 8.20. If dp is working he's up around 4 and out around 5 mornings are usually more of a rush and I end up leaving with the dc around 8.30 we get to school on time - just. On my work days dp leaves around 8.20 and I usually faff around for 10 minutes before leaving - I'm terrible at getting ready Hmm

dancinfeet · 29/01/2018 07:33

6.30am my alarm goes off if my daughter is getting the bus to school, 6.15am if she is getting the train. Though it's the bus mostly these days. Most of the time I am straight up and out of bed, but if very tired or stayed up past midnight working, I will pop back to bed after waking her until around 7.15, then get up just before she leaves.

BeakyPlinder · 29/01/2018 07:36

5.30 it's so early! But it's only 3 days a week I tell myself. Have to get 1yr old up, dressed etc and to nursery before getting to work for 7.30. I do as much as I can the night before. I miss maternity leave

AuntieStella · 29/01/2018 07:36

06:00 usually, but 05:30 on Mondays as DS2 has early morning sports that day and has to get a ridiculously early departure (public transport rather limited early enough to get him there on time).

I lie in until 07:00 on Saturdays, and attempt a longer lie in on Sundays, but always seem to wake up (rats)

youngestisapsycho · 29/01/2018 07:37

7 if washing my hair... 7:30 if not. Although I’m still in bed now! Must get up!!

stickytoffeevodka · 29/01/2018 07:38

No school run here. I need to leave 8.45 at the latest (start work at 10) so I'm normally up at 8. DP leaves at 7.45 so is up at 7 and makes me coffee in bed before he goes!

Aragog · 29/01/2018 07:38

Dh and teen Dd: 6:45
Me: 7:05
All leave at 7:45

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 29/01/2018 07:40

04:55
I have a daughter who loves to get up early
I go to bed at 20:45

CrazyExIngenue · 29/01/2018 07:41

5:20, kids have to be to the bus by 6:30, I'm on the way to work by 6:35. In bed and asleep by 8:30/9:00 pm.

CMOTDibbler · 29/01/2018 07:44

7am. DS walks/cycles to school, leaving at 8.20. I'll be at my home office desk as soon as he leaves.
Some days however I'll be leaving at 4am for a flight, 5am for a train, or just not there at all when away. But the adult in the house and ds are always up at 7

kaytee87 · 29/01/2018 07:44

Wake about 6.30 when dh alarm goes off, get up about 7 when ds wakes.

booqueue · 29/01/2018 07:46

Thanks all for the replies feeling better about 6am wake ups . My DP used to get up at 5.30am but usually 7am now which is good as he's not in my way when getting ready Grin
