Just that. What time do you all get up in the morning?

I get up at 6am and it's always a struggle as I seem to be a night owl

Ihatepompoussoccermums · 30/01/2018 22:47

When I was at high school I used to get up at 8.20, my friend would arrive at 8.30 and it took 5minutes to get to school. As it was only 3 roads away. That was unless my uncle who was our post man came to my room and put his freezing cold hands on my back at 7.30 then he would raid the fridge and leave 😂

Ihatepompoussoccermums · 30/01/2018 22:47

School started at 8.40

Leinlondon · 30/01/2018 22:59

5am or 5.15am on the 3 days I work outside the home (depending which train im catching - husband does school run these days) 7am on the 2 days I work from home and do the school run - mental that 7am now classes as a “lie-in” in my head.

dubmumof2 · 30/01/2018 23:24

DS and I get up at 6.45, I wake DD at 7.30, DS school run at 7.50 and back for DDs school run by 8.20. Drive to work then from her school, arriving between 9.15am and 9.30am....

pollymere · 31/01/2018 00:15

I get up at 7.15, my dd gets up at 7:40. She's out of the house by 8:10.

edibleweirdo · 31/01/2018 04:33

4.30-5am depending on what i have to achieve before work. I dont do the school run!

Mummaloves · 31/01/2018 06:09

5.30am, at my desk with a take away coffee by 7am Grin

Stillwishihadabs · 31/01/2018 06:38

Between 5:45 and 6:15 DS leaves for school at 7am during Lent I want to experiment with getting up at 5:15 and see if I get more done ( definitely a lark, pretty useless after 9pm)

snowbellj · 31/01/2018 06:41

7am for a normal school fun day.
6.20 on my work days.

murphys · 31/01/2018 06:45

5am, but then I make a cup of coffee and take it back to bed until 5.15am, then chaos resumes.

Dc need to be at school by 7.15am.

WeeM · 31/01/2018 07:39

5.15 of washing hair and 5.30 if not! It does get me down a bit as I am constantly tired during week. Don’t get to bed til about 11 usually so def not enough sleep.

Bluesheep8 · 31/01/2018 08:03

5:45 to leave the house at 7:30. I like to be able to sit and drink some coffee and chat to DP without rushing around.

Bluesheep8 · 31/01/2018 08:04

Btw i am in bed for 9pm

Skarossinkplunger · 31/01/2018 08:25

Up at 5am. Dog walked, shower, hair and makeup. Leave at 6.30 in work for 7.30.

holycityzoo · 31/01/2018 08:30

7.15 for the school run.
I would love to be able to naturally wake up at 6 get myself together before the kids get up in peace maybe do some exercise but I just can't. I am not a morning person.
That was what I found hardest when the dc were babies, I could cope with night feeds but if they started the day at stupid o'clock I found it so so so hard.

user1489589714 · 31/01/2018 10:52

Wow, so many of you are up so early! It's 8 am in our house and I have to drag the kids out of bed. Don't do the school run, but we all leave at 8.45 am - dh brings them the 5 min drive to school while I head to work for 9.30 am.

Buglife · 31/01/2018 10:55

Between 6-7, 7 is preferable but my DS is often awake at 6. I used to have to be out the house at 7.30 so was always up by 6.30. Now I’m not working and we leave at 8.30 for nursery run but he faffs over breakfast and likes to play a bit in the morning so I’d rather we were downstairs from 7 at the latest. I also like to have a sit with a coffee for a bit rather than rush. I am going to bed early but sleeping very badly as I’m pregnant so I feel rough in the morning.

itsonlysubterfuge · 31/01/2018 11:43

DD woke me up at 9 and played on her tablet until 10. I love Homeschooling.

bim1 · 31/01/2018 11:48

7.30am if on the school walk. 6.30am if on early shift. Much easier now oldest are independent. Was a little manic when the five were younger but had to run a tight ship. Routine was the key.

MirandaWest · 31/01/2018 11:59

Depends whether DC are here or not. When they’re with their dad then can get up at about 7:45 to start work at 8 as I work from home.

When they’re here I need to get up about 6:45am to poke them a bit

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 31/01/2018 12:06

6am. Could still be sorted if I left it 'til 7 but I'd feel rushed. Dc get up at 7:30, we leave for school at 8:30.

User11011 · 31/01/2018 12:35

6/6.15
Normally bed about 9.30-10 but I'm pregnant to at the moment more like passed out on the sofa by 8.

beautifuldaytosavelives · 31/01/2018 13:01

6:40. Up, shower, makeup and then down to put DD's boiled egg on (every.single.day) and get mine and lunch in bags (but already made the night before) and line up bags and shoes and get her coat out. Lay DD's clothes out, wake her at 7.40, she goes in the bathroom and gets dressed while I do her toast. She comes down, troughs her feast and I go back up to get dressed and do my hair. She idles away being waited on. I do her hair and then she does her teeth, rants and raves at her tights and then the grandparents arrive for the school run at 8.15. I then go up and down the stairs for things either one of us has forgotten or scrabble about for things that she's just remembered she needs. Out the door at 8.30. What on earth do I actually do with all that time??? DH gets up at 6.35, sorts himself out, including sitting down to eat his breakfast, and off he strolls to work no later than 7.30. Note no breakfast for me, eat that in work. I need some kind of Super Nanny/Marie Kondo combo to come in and fix my routine!!
