I've lost all hope of any rationality coming out of JC and Labour.

I feel like my biological existence is being wiped out.

I already feel completely bereft that the future of the female/girls/women will likely continue to be ruled and overruled by the patriarchy.

Be pissed off at Labour by all means but voting Tory if you’re not a member of the landed gentry is basically shooting yourself in the face.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 28/01/2018 20:34

Well it's your call but not something I could ever consider.

NowtSalamander · 28/01/2018 20:34

Thinking about spoiling my ballot instead, for same reasons as you.

ajandjjmum · 28/01/2018 20:34

Little simplistic there Titty! As far as I'm concerned, it's a case of picking the best of a bad bunch.

MiltonBurnedTheBuildingDown · 28/01/2018 20:35

The Tories are pretty much the same, biological reality is not something they care about. Many of the proposed changes in terms of whether biology is at all relevant in the oppression of women starts with them.

itsbetterthanabox · 28/01/2018 20:37

YABVU.
As stupid as labour are about some things they are still far better for the average woman than the Conservatives!
Look at the bigger picture not a single issue.
Conservatives are pushing through all the self ID crap too anyway.

KitKat1985 · 28/01/2018 20:39

I agree that Labour have gone a bit too far left for my tastes, BUT I'd rather entrust education and the NHS to them than the tories (speaking as an NHS nurse here).

PortiaCastis · 28/01/2018 20:39

Biting off your nose to spite your face comes to mind

Justanotherlurker · 28/01/2018 20:40

Your brave, thread will be flooded with personal anecdotes as to why you should not vote tory, any personal anecdote to the contrary will be dismissed.

Personally, you vote for however you wish, everyone votes for there own self interests in some degree.

But as this thread is will no doubt be deleted, I will add that you obviously know more about politics than the average labour supporter

uk.news.yahoo.com/labour-voters-know-less-politics-conservatives-114444271.html

Cant be bothered to find the bbc article, so yahoo will have to do

Youngmystery · 28/01/2018 20:43

Not sure I'll even bother voting. I'm in Scotland though so pretty much guaranteed my MP will be an SNP.

Tistheseason17 · 28/01/2018 20:43

You are voting for the ethos of the party, not the individual. Whatever you think of him he may not be in power for long and the other members will keep to the Labour agenda.
Personally, I could never spoil a vote. And I will never vote conservative as they attack the mist vulnerable in society.
Your choice who you vote for but remember lives were list to give women the right to vote. If all voters turned out maybe the NHS would not be in the state it is. And when Conservatives criticise scroungers on benefits they conveniently forget most people on benefits are those receiving their pension. But as pensioners are biggest turnout of voters nothing is mentioned...

Tistheseason17 · 28/01/2018 20:44

Ooh, sorry, went a bit ranty Grin

UpstartCrow · 28/01/2018 20:44

You know it was the Tories who started all this, and they haven't given up on introducing Gender self ID.
The Tories are wrecking Britain. Brexit, austerity, homelessness, the NHS - I cant in all good conscience vote for them.

There isnt a single party who is standing up for women and gay people.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 28/01/2018 20:45

Yanbu. Conservatives aren’t covering themselves in glory right now, but Labour under JC are a shambles. I wish they would give a creditable opposition

Trying2bgd · 28/01/2018 20:45

Liberal democrats, the women's party or the greens?

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 28/01/2018 20:47

I have no idea who to vote for. There is no way I would vote Labour while Corbyn, Abbott and that knob McDonnell are there but I don’t want to vote Tory either. Not that it makes any difference, hell will freeze over before anyone other than a Tory gets in here.

MrsOprah · 28/01/2018 20:50

YABU
I say this as a previous libdem voter, who then got lost in the political mud... sticking with labour and/or greens now

Dustysparrow · 28/01/2018 20:54

The Tories are destroying the NHS - if we leave them in charge it will all be gone eventually. Other public services like the police are on their knees. And thanks to David Cameron we now have brexit. Teachers and nurses are leaving their profession in droves. That is what you get with Tory government.

SilverySurfer · 28/01/2018 20:58

Of course - they are the only viable party. Vote Tory! You'll be ripped to shreds by the predominantly Labour/LibDim supporters on here but they are easy to ignore.

It’s your vote. I wouldn’t, I’d probably be considered very well off now compared to most despite growing up on the breadline but i’m not willing to shut the door behind me and leave everyone else to struggle to pay for food, educate their kids well and have decent health care. Just because i’m Alright Jack. Not when we live in one of the richest countries in the world, where we are more than financially able to take care of the populations health and education action. And I think that’s exactly what the Tories stand for- i’m On top, pull the ladder up.

TealStar · 28/01/2018 21:00

You may feel as if Corbin etc might be a shambles, it I think it’s pretty clear that May etc are a shambles. I cannot think of a single thing that May has done, apart from push through the Hillsborough enquiry, that has been if any success whatsoever. Everything the Tories do seems to be a joke.

TealStar · 28/01/2018 21:00

Excuse typos and poor grammar.

ChasedByBees · 28/01/2018 21:00

Are the Conservative policies better and more pro-women then?

Tistheseason17 · 28/01/2018 21:04

Exactly @illustrious my thoughts and experience.

I'm alright Jacks vote Tory and those who care about other's welfare vote Labour or Green.
