I've lost all hope of any rationality coming out of JC and Labour.

I feel like my biological existence is being wiped out.

I already feel completely bereft that the future of the female/girls/women will likely continue to be ruled and overruled by the patriarchy.

YANBU to vote for whomever you want, OP. That's the point of democracy.

The fact that we currently have two options that are as appealing as choosing between painful constipation and stinking diarrhoea doesn't change that!

PipGirl404 · 28/01/2018 21:08

If you think the Tories are the best of a bad bunch then fuck me sideways.

Utterly ludicrous.

biscuiteater · 28/01/2018 21:09

It's not due until 2022 so plenty of time to decide.

midnightmisssuki · 28/01/2018 21:09

Of course YANBU.

Viviennemary · 28/01/2018 21:12

Think about it nearer the time. And choose the party you think will make the best job of running the country. I think I'd go for the Tories too at the moment.

Heliophilous · 28/01/2018 21:12

YABU unless you genuinely care nothing for public services, the poor, the disadvantaged, the homeless, the sick, the elderly and the young. If you don't care about any of those things, then go ahead.

bluelion23 · 28/01/2018 21:13

ynbu its your vote you can vote for which ever candidate you like the best

TheMathsTrainee · 28/01/2018 21:13

Yanbu at all

Somerford · 28/01/2018 21:13

It depends, do you agree with their policies? I can't imagine that you do if you were a Labour voter until now. I tend to be conservative on some issues, libertarian on others. I take no pleasure from the current state of the Labour Party though. The Conservatives are not conservative, I have no idea what the Labour Party is supposed to be and the other parties don't excite me at all.

The only potential positive, and it will take a long time to manifest itself in any tangible way, is that the number of politically homeless people might eventually bring about change on both sides of the political spectrum. It's a dire state of affairs at the moment.

EggsonHeads · 28/01/2018 21:14

Ffs people. The tories, especially at the moment, are pretty left wing. They support state funded fee for apps on everything from education to healthcare and pensions in between. They are trying to cut spending but they aren't even aiming to eradicate the deficit just reduce it. They aren't comparable to the American republicans or even the Australian conservatives. Pull your heads out of your very British arses. A tory government, inept as they might be, is far, far better than communists or extreme socialists. Just look a Venezuela. Just look at every country that has ever had a far left government. If that really what you want?! If it is then you are idiots and deserve to mass poverty that will result. I'm off to bang my head against a wall for a bit and then say a prayer of thanks for dual citizenship entitlements for my children.

Rumpledfaceskin · 28/01/2018 21:14

Yes ywbvvu.

bluelion23 · 28/01/2018 21:14

biscuiteater i assume she means the local elections

DancingLedge · 28/01/2018 21:14

Vote for the NHS?
Because we will have lost more than most of us can imagine once it's gone?

OracleOfDelphinium · 28/01/2018 21:15

Short answer: YANBU. But don't expect many people on MN to tell you that.

TheMathsTrainee · 28/01/2018 21:16

Agree with oracle

GrockleBocs · 28/01/2018 21:17

The Tories put self id on the table for legislation. Labour might be handling it badly but they didn't start this. WEP are pro self ID as I think are the Greens. Don't know about the Lib Dems.

SilverySurfer
Of course - they are the only viable party. Vote Tory!

No they are the strongest party, doesn't stop them from being a shower of shit.

Worldsworstcook · 28/01/2018 21:24

Cannot think of a single thing the Tories have ever put in place that has had a positive impact on my life. EVER.

I'm with TITTY. I love the teeshirt that says the The only good Tory is a ........
(I won't say it but you know). Voting Tory just says to me I'm alright Jack and the rest of you can go and fuck off.
Seriously, if anyone I loved voted Tory I'd never look at them the same way again. We are stuck with the DUP, which is like voting for the Tory bastards here so it's tricky finding a person to vote for in elections who isn't a Tory lapdog

The Tories are best of a bad bunch, in my humble opinion.
I couldn't vote Labour if my life depended on it.

JacquesHammer · 28/01/2018 21:27

YABVU to decide in 2018 who you plan to vote for in 2022.

MiMi78 · 28/01/2018 21:28

I would struggle to vote for any Party.
With the conservatives you have what's been detailed above.
Greens, no fucking way, women as 'non-men' Confused
Labour, Momentum running the show, self identify as BAME and disabled, and other proper craziness.
Hopefully Labour will return to objective reality and put a leader in place people can vote for.

Somerford · 28/01/2018 21:28

Tories are vile - those who vote for them - if the cap fits

A wonderful contribution. I'm sure you've swayed thousands. None of us will forget what you've done here today.
