Why do I find Phillip and Holly so annoying!!

So, just caught the last bit of This Morning and is it just me or have they become really smug lately? Their egos are through the roof and the way they try and find something really funny and burst out laughing is getting a bit tiresome. These hilarious innuendos or slip of the tongues are not set up at all by them or the production team boring. They can never top Fern Britton's 'see you don't mind dunking a bit of beef' gaff, much as they try.

I do prefer Eamonn and Ruth, much more humble and in touch with the viewers.

Am I the only one who feels like this? I am not Fern Britton by the way

I love this thread! Can’t stand Holly, Phil used to be ok but it’s all so forced now.

As for the fake hangovers, not only is it ridiculous but how can they sympathise with guests that have addictions etc then say, ‘But look how funny it is to get drunk’?

Ruth, Eamonn, Alison and Rylan should be the only people allowed to present it. Or Stacey Solomon if they must keep Phil (they were ok together on that Christmas show)...

I haven't seen it since Fern Britten was on it. Loved it when it was Richard and Judy. It's just all people from The Sun articles and reality tv people isn't it?

Well, tbf I think we've all had a laugh remembering ourselves or someone else being drunk - doesn't mean we don't take addiction seriously.

But anyway, I can't stand them. I hate the age gap especially and that fact that he apparently insisted it had to her who presented with him. Why? To make him feel younger or look clever compared to a simpering airhead?

There was a thread about this a few weeks ago and no one disagreed so who actually likes them? The only people I can think of are a couple of the mums in my ds's rugby team. If you listened to how they went on about them, you'd think they were family members!

I can't stand them either. What happened to Schofield?? He was so likable when he was younger. Now he makes my skin crawl. Holly is just ugh! I hate the way she is so submissive to him...Fern never allowed him to take over!

I find them so bloody annoying I won't watch This Morning when they are on. And it is so unprofessional to be turning up drunk and giggling the next morning.

It reminds me of the rage I used to get when all the Radio 1 DJs were getting paid in the old rave days to spend the summer in Ibiza presenting their shows from there. So fucking disrespectful to all the people who pay their wages.

I don’t watch This Morning but I did watch Dancing on Ice when PS snapped “Don’t you snap at my girl”
And she simpered as she snuggled into his arm, ugh so annoying for a whole host of reasons but mainly because she needed a man to defend/protect her

I used to watch it religiously. It was never high brow, but they ditched the news and it seemed to get really just shit! All celebs and ‘how I lost weight’ or ‘overcame x’.

Not interested. It was interesting when it was more real life stuff. —although not the worlds biggest tits where Philip bragged about touching them—

I used to like him in his Broom Cupboard days, but he seems to have got more and more egotistical since doing 'grown-up' tv. Both of them are overexposed, though I haven't watched more than 5 mins of This Morning since I was a student (and Richard and Judy were presenting it).

Definitely not the only one OP! I liked Fern and Phillip years ago, and Ruth and Eamonn are good, but these two have become smug gits.

Those were the days when R & J presented it . I do like Eamonn and Ruth mind , they are good together.

Judy used to slap Richard down all the time when he acted like a twat. That was part of the fun in watching it. I can't imagine Holly doing the same to Pip.

Second thread in a matter of days about them about them being smug and irritating, today with their oh we are so hungover nonsense again they were obviously not hungover. They are getting smugier with their in jokes that are not that hilarious I used to like them god knows what happened,the new thing is to add Phil on snapchat he is mad 😕

The fact that Phillip is doing adverts now means we see even more of the smug git’s face, I notice he doesn’t speak in the adverts, maybe he wants paid extra to speak.

I'd guess there's an overlap, but they're not really the same demographic. It's only the last couple of years that TM and LW get referenced here so regularly.

The twitter commentators who are tweet TM live certainly don't sound like likely lads and lasses.
