So, just caught the last bit of This Morning and is it just me or have they become really smug lately? Their egos are through the roof and the way they try and find something really funny and burst out laughing is getting a bit tiresome. These hilarious innuendos or slip of the tongues are not set up at all by them or the production team boring. They can never top Fern Britton's 'see you don't mind dunking a bit of beef' gaff, much as they try.

I do prefer Eamonn and Ruth, much more humble and in touch with the viewers.

Am I the only one who feels like this? I am not Fern Britton by the way Grin

She has THE most vacant facial expression and cannot stand when his outrage at some poor guest is breathlessly reported as though he is our nations moral barometer.

Love Rylan, not enough to watch This Morning though.

SubtitlesOn · 03/04/2018 15:51

I really liked Fern Brittain on This Morning

I totally agree the "dunking beef" comment was a natural flowing really funny comment that HW and PS are always trying to copy and it just does not work cos not natural

Cherrysherbet · 20/12/2018 06:20

I love Phil and holly, YABU. Unkind post.

Happilyacceptingcookies · 20/12/2018 06:51

Yet to understand what demographic Holly appeals to. Anyone with more life experience than her, or older than her, must think she's just an idiot. Anyone younger than her surely can't relate to someone so out of touch with the real world. She can't relate to guests or empathise.

Irrespective of how many 'perfect mum' books she has written, swooping in on Ant's mishaps and flying to Australia can't be great for bonding with her children when she really doesn't need the money.

Didn't realise this thread was from April! Awkwardly for Phil and Holly they aren't any more popular 8 months later.

Petalflowers · 20/12/2018 07:11

Saw a different side of Holly on IACGMOOH. She was much better on that, more sincere, more relaxed, and a much better presenter all around.

longwayoff · 20/12/2018 07:44

You are not alone. The whole programme makes my teeth curl.

The80sweregreat · 20/12/2018 10:18

..Because they are.
Smug presenters who should be replaced.
Or do what I do and don't watch anything they are on or present on tv. They are easy to avoid.

Write · 20/12/2018 10:21

I could never understand the bashing Holly got on here until I saw a comment she wrote to her mate Fern Cotton (I think) on releasing her new book “clever gir!” she wrote, I boaked! How condescending!

MaidenMotherCrone · 20/12/2018 10:30

Ah the Silver Fox himself. You know what foxes are...... VERMIN.

I haven’t watched the programme for many years after the fateful day they were showing sex positions for the over 60s.

JoeElliotsMullet · 20/12/2018 11:38

Phillip Schofield made a big mistake when he left the Broom Cupboard. I think they should replace Holly with Gordon the Gopher.

Limensoda · 20/12/2018 11:47

You do realise people over 60 have sex? 😒
I hate to break it to you that lots of them bloody love it!

MaidenMotherCrone · 20/12/2018 11:56

Of course over 60s have sex ffs. I doubt there’s many that haven’t been at it for years and need the help tbh. I found it patronising. I’m no spring chicken and really don’t need tips and doubt anyone else in their 60s, 70s or 80s does either.

Many people DO need advice and tips if they are in ill health or arthritic etc!
The advice may help some of them resume something they'd given up on.

longwayoff · 20/12/2018 12:52

Over 60s have sex? Please tell me it's not compulsory, there'll be a lot to catch up on.

RingThoseChristmasBells · 20/12/2018 12:57

The producers had to spend a huge amount of money to fly her dcs in business class to Australia, a big hotel suite for the whole family and a private tutor for the dcs.

That's what makes her so relatable

Cleo18 · 20/12/2018 22:26

Agree - I can't stand her. He is not quite as bad but she is not very nice to people who can't get her somewhere. (I have a semi-personal contact)

Mumsy47 · 11/09/2019 12:46

They both behave like silly kids. Totally unprofessional behaviour. Let's have some new presenters please.
