As above (at the risk of sounding tin foil hat) and if we're not, what the hell is going on in the world, what's causing it?

Falmer
Yes, the government has dis armed the population so it will be a weak revolution, different to past revolutions. However the army killing unarmed citizens will not go down well.

It won’t take long before weapons are supplied to the socialist forces by other countries. The CIA and FSB supply weapons to other countries.

counterpoint · 21/01/2018 22:52

I think the so-called liberals have been too easily duped and, frankly, they are the ones to fear. Most likely funded and controlled by cleverer clans such as Rothschild, Rockefeller, and maybe Soros.

It's why Trump is being given such a hard time as he tries to establish closer ties and communication with the likes of Putin and Kim Jong Un to bring back peace.

Obama was a prime puppet. Clinton a potential nightmare we have been lucky to evade.

A Rockefeller quote:

The way to make money is to buy when blood is running in the streets.

War is how they make money.

Falmer · 21/01/2018 22:57

Whatnext how do I do that please?

OP posts:
user1497863568 · 21/01/2018 23:00

The more radical thing to do would be to simply give up, not rise up. As many who have been on receiving end have been doing just that. Then they can't man an army for all their nefarious plots. Bwwahahaha.

Falmer · 21/01/2018 23:02

And what do people think about 9/11, Diana's death and similar theories? Or am I heading even nearer to that tin foil hat which dh has waiting for me?Grin

froodledoodle · 21/01/2018 23:03

This sort of crap has been going on for centuries.

With variations appropriate to the historical context, probably for thousands of years.

user1497863568 · 21/01/2018 23:04

The more radical (and sensible) thing to do would be to simply give up, not rise up. Rising up just feeds the arms industry. Many who have been on receiving end have been doing just that. Then they can't man an army for all their nefarious global domination plots. Mwaaha ha ha.

butIamrightright · 21/01/2018 23:06

Not sure about all the conspiracy theories, never heard of chem trails before. I do however believe we are in for a shit time over the next few years, I think we will see higher taxes, more service cuts etc.

user1497863568 · 21/01/2018 23:09

Sorry for the multiple posts. I was told that it couldn't connect. Hmmmm

MrsPestilence · 21/01/2018 23:16

Bertie planes aren't noted for their CFC emissions.

Planes do however release 600 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year. Also condensation trails and cloud formation – are known to be at least double the climate impact of CO2 alone. Oh and planes produce ozone (a greenhouse gas).

Cutting air traffic would really help the planet. But people like going exciting places and as the developing countries get richer - they want to go exciting places also.

Onlyoldontheoutside · 21/01/2018 23:25

We used to call'chemtrails' angels with their shirts on fire, that was 50 years ago. There are more planes now but not new.
There has always been shift and strife in the world it's just that we have the internet so get more scraps of info than before.
I'd be worried more about the planet and risks to us even being here if I was you.
However I think you are worried enough so perhaps council IMG?

Falmer · 21/01/2018 23:37

I meant the trails where they make patterns in the sky. Crosses, grids and rows of lines.

OP posts:
MrsPestilence · 21/01/2018 23:40

Those trails are caused by condensation. The hot air from the plane meets the cold air of the sky and forms droplets. Just like your bathroom mirror, as mentioned previously. Depends on temperature and height of plane.

Falmer · 21/01/2018 23:58

MrsP, but why are they making patterns in the sky?

OP posts:
RosiePosiePuddle · 22/01/2018 00:26

Ignoring the chemtrails track, this is an interesting discussion.

I think there will be a huge shitstorm in the future. Increasing inequality means decreasing empathy for those at the bottom by those at the top. Also the world's population is already too large and unsustainable in terms of resources. What will happen in 20 years when AI has taken the jobs of many workers? There will be no need or employment for a sizeable chunk of the world's population. Will the elite provide a minimum income for those with nothing to do and curb their own excesses and excesses of society in general? Or will there be a cull of the human population by war?

Some of the things that worry me:
Brexit is an example people ignoring the fact that the eu has helped maintain peace in Europe for decades. Putin is well on the way to creating cyber havoc. Russian hackers have managed to interfer with foreign elections, held the NHS to ransom and cut the electricity in Ukraine. (And those are the things I know of). Governments are in the pockets of big business. Many countries are under the control of psychopathic men. Most of us willing give information about ourselves constantly and trust the tech companies to use it responsibly.

God I have depressed myself and it is another reminder to stay away from the news and internet.

Kursk · 22/01/2018 00:27

but why are they making patterns in the sky

Airliners can’t fly wherever they want. There are “roads” in the sky at different heights. This is done to avoid collisions.

The patterns are a result of this

The crux.

Ifailed · 22/01/2018 06:29

re 'Chemtrails'. The Imperial War Museum has a series of photos from the battle of Britain in 1940, including contrails from British and Nazi aircraft, they've been around for at least 70 years.

CrazyExIngenue · 22/01/2018 07:00

Wow there are a lot of negative and paranoid people on this thread!

No I don't think we're under some New World Order or that we're all going to burn in some fiery pit of revolution.

What's going to happen is that the Baby Boomers are all going to die off and the biggest strain on the NHS and medical care in general, the people occupying all the top & most lucrative jobs, the people with all the money, land and houses, and the people in charge of most governments will be gone, and the rest of us will finally have a chance and the economy will right itself.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 22/01/2018 07:05

The only conspiracy theory going on is the disaster capitalists are exploiting people's obsessions with conspiracy theories.

lostinblankers · 22/01/2018 07:22

Theworldis , so agree with you.

LakieLady · 22/01/2018 07:25

Led by Corbyn (1.5 m house in Islington, never worked a day in his life outside politics )

The house next door to his was on the market for £925k, a lot less than the figure you quote, and his was estimated to be worth £650k a few months ago in a business article I was reading. Anyway, he can hardly be blamed for the fact that London house prices have risen to ridiculous heights.

There are plenty of things Corbyn can be criticised for, but the value of his house isn't one of them. And at least he lives in his constituency, or the neighbouring one.

CoteDAzur · 22/01/2018 07:35

"But the public aren't armed in this country, are we Kursk? Not like US citizens with their guns."

The weapon you need to combat the nonsense in your OP is knowledge, not guns and bullets.
