As above (at the risk of sounding tin foil hat) and if we're not, what the hell is going on in the world, what's causing it?

toolonglurking · 21/01/2018 20:48

I used NLP to deal with a phobia, it helped a bit, but I can't see it brainwashing the army.
The rest of your concerns would probably lead me to think perhaps some counselling might be required?

Falmer · 21/01/2018 20:55

Talking He had a sen statement (legal document) for autism school. After 2 years his behaviour improved and they asked us to move to mainstream. We declined (as was our right) and were trampled on by the authorities. They moved him and he injured people, ran out of the new school and was excluded. I later had cancer and was in hospital for a month. Nurses not following surgeons instructions caused me to nearly die. Just a whole bunch of other things that make me feel something's not right, things are changing for the worst.

Falmer · 21/01/2018 21:08

Yes toolong, I had counselling as part of the cancer treatment. I try not to watch the news or read papers, but every time I glimpse just a bit, it seems worse every time. Particularly the world news.

There was an article in New Scientist this week - End of days: Is Western civilisation on the brink of collapse? - can't link to whole article as need to have a subscription but an interesting read.

Basicly various indicators 2020's would be rough like 1970s – though possible already started cycle - larger economic inequality causing unrest, children of peace tend to war children of war want peace when they grow up - some predator prey formulae which seem to apply to human civilizations in past seem to be indicating an upheaval plus discussions on stressors such as climate change.

Basically 2020s may not be fun – so that’s something to look forward to.

Flowers Sorry you've had a bad time of it though OP.

specialsubject · 21/01/2018 21:09

The chemtrails thing is a handy fuckwit detector. It demonstrates ignorance of why you get trails in the sky ( some fairly simple science), gullibility (believes conspiracy theories ) and inability to perform logical reasoning.

A waste of years of free education.

TalkinPeace · 21/01/2018 21:14

Falmer
Thank you for the reply but you have still not said which rights have been taken away

an SEN statement lists requirements not rights after all

If THE NHS made mistakes, then you should vote for the party that will fund it

did you vote at the last three elections ?

BertieBotts · 21/01/2018 21:17

The thing about chemtrails (apart from the fact we know what causes aeroplane trails and it's not mysterious chemicals) is that it would also affect these rich and powerful people - they still have to breathe air. So it wouldn't make any sense.

TBH I would not be surprised if your bad experience in hospital was down to staff shortage + strain due to an extremely stretched NHS currently - but that's not a conspiracy, it's just politics and money, it's quite clear if you wish to follow it. A depressing situation indeed but nothing particularly hidden. (Sorry you went through that BTW, and I hope your recovery was smooth.)

The issue with schools is, again, politics related - special schools are closing and have precious few places, therefore LAs are under a huge amount of pressure to move pupils to mainstream. They need the special school places for children who have more severe problems. Unfortunately that does mean that many children like your son end up in a limbo where they can't cope with mainstream schooling (usually because there is nowhere near enough support in MS) but they aren't really needy enough for special schools either.

Do remember that what sells papers is sensational stories and so we hear much more about the terrible things which happen elsewhere than we ever used to. This doesn't mean that they're happening more. In fact, if you look at global trends, we are living in a time of more peace and less conflict than ever before. My Dad worries about this stuff a lot to the point of actually preparing for world disaster but most of the things that these groups are concerned about really have very shaky basis in reality or no roots at all.

theEagleIsLost · 21/01/2018 21:20

Keep hearing about people's (and my own) fear/distrust of ss, hospitals, hv's etc.

My Mum loathed her HV - hated the woman - my DGM belived the best way to stay healthy was to avoid as much as possible any HCP she lived to her 90s with that view.

redspottydress · 21/01/2018 21:27

Chem trails are real. Have been around for decades. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w0btvkdp
This is just one link regarding chemicals being sprayed to change the weather.

redspottydress · 21/01/2018 21:29

And this, slightly more sinister. www.theguardian.com/politics/2002/apr/21/uk.medicalscience

squishysquirmy · 21/01/2018 21:34

@redspottydress Experimental attempts at cloud seeding (which has never been statistically proven to work) is a far cry away from the conspiracy that ALL aeroplane tracks are caused by the release of secret, sinister chemicals, which is the theory purported by chemtrail conspiracy theorists.

There's a perfectly bland explanation for the white trails across the sky, and its no more sinister than your breath on a cold day.

BMW6 · 21/01/2018 21:35
Hmm
redspottydress · 21/01/2018 21:36

Who said all trails were dubious? It has happened, and it does happen.

squishysquirmy · 21/01/2018 21:36

Your second link is awful if true, but its not a Chemtrail.
Bombs have been released from planes too, but the trails observed behind planes are not full of tiny bombs.

squishysquirmy · 21/01/2018 21:39

I see we're talking cross purposes:
I thought "Chemtrail" is a conspiracy around the white lines behind planes (bollocks)
By "Chemtrail" you mean anything deliberately released from an aeroplane (has obviously happened many times, both on record and off).

Battleax · 21/01/2018 21:40

You don't need both parents working to survive. It doesn't even make economical sense to have it because two lower earners pay less tax than one higher earner.

Say what?

Falmer · 21/01/2018 21:40

theEagle, dgm lived to her nineties? That's brilliantSmile Talkin, the statement named the autism school, it was changed against our wishes. The director of Ipsea (at that time) thought they were bluffing. It hadn't been seen before. Voting: I've stopped voting. Firstly, disillusionment and now I'm actually thinking it's all a fix. Do I sound crazy?Wink

restingbemusedface · 21/01/2018 21:40

Ooh I’m always a bit wary of chemtrails!! I don’t want to believe in them - but I’ve heard a few army people and pilots talk about how they are real. There was one ex Air Force weather man who used to openly talk about them while he was presenting the weather :s

FithColumnist · 21/01/2018 21:40

OP, have you considered counselling?

redspottydress · 21/01/2018 21:40

Chemical trails, spread by planes, over 100s of miles. Not bombs. Or bacteria bombs.

Kursk · 21/01/2018 21:41

Chemtrails are a thing. Crop dusters do spray chemicals on fields. The same aircraft have been used to induce rain clouds to drop water. HOWEVER they are not used for mind control.

As for brainwashing the army. Drill, the art of marching is designed to get soldiers to respond to orders without question and thinking. So in effect the army is brainwashed but NOT like you think.

I do feel like the world is on the buildup to something. I think WWIII is not too far away, as a by product of this there will probably be some kind of socialist revolution in the UK, as the poor will rise up.

Kursk · 21/01/2018 21:44

Google Agent Orange in Vietnam. Also sometimes aircraft dump fuel, as they cannot land if they are too heavy.

TalkinPeace · 21/01/2018 21:45

Falmer
You need to sort out you issues

    • if you do not vote, you abdicate the decision to other nutters
    • SEN assessment for your child : funding cuts in education that can only be sorted through the ballot box
    • NHS shortages again can only be sorted through the ballot box
    • chemtrails : sort the first three, then worry about the fourth

I get your stress but ranting solves nothing - you need to target your energies in the most effective way possible
Chemtrails ain't it Grin

IAmNotAWitch · 21/01/2018 21:48

Sounds like all of human history. The tech has changed, people haven't.
