To think I’m still huge? Photo included

LolitaChi · 20/01/2018 11:30

I’ve lost a lot of weight recently but I still feel huge and that I have a lot of body fat

Would you look at me and think Shock she’s so overweight?

OP posts:
augustusglupe · 20/01/2018 14:08

You’re as slim as me and trust me, I’m slim!!
If anything, I’d suggest upping the exercise ( sit ups etc) and eating a bit more. Your tummy isn’t toned, so I’d work on that, but I don’t think you need to lose any more weight.

RoseWhiteTips · 20/01/2018 14:08

So how was the photo altered? There does seem to be a discrepancy between the angular shape or the hips and the round tummy.

RoseWhiteTips · 20/01/2018 14:09

...angular shape of the hips

ThisLittleKitty · 20/01/2018 14:09

Her stomach is definitely not flat.

DavetheCat2001 · 20/01/2018 14:09

OP seems to have gone..

HuskyMcClusky · 20/01/2018 14:10

Her stomach isn't flat if she has an actual indentation where her tummy button is.

Umm, that’s not how it works. If your umbilical vote was cut off close, you’re always going to have an indentation.

HuskyMcClusky · 20/01/2018 14:10

*umbilical CORD

user1471459936 · 20/01/2018 14:13

But she has got fatty deposits around her tummy button. So not a flat stomach.

Fluffy40 · 20/01/2018 14:13

Slim.

LolitaChi · 20/01/2018 14:16

Thanks everyone, sorry I’ve been driving.

I don’t mind the mean comments ... because whatever I posted there would be some criticism. But I put myself out there so I can’t moan if someone says something I don’t like Smile

The only thing I’m offended by is the “she” and “her” comments as if it’s behind my back Grin

I still have weight to lose and I have a pt who is very against sit ups. I’ve lost 5inches off my stomach so hopefully it will tone up in time.

OP posts:
DavetheCat2001 · 20/01/2018 14:19

Try pilates OP, it helped me firm up my stomach no end.

mistermagpie · 20/01/2018 14:19

My stomach looks exactly like yours and I'm technically underweight according to bmi charts. I store my fat on my stomach though and have very slim arms and legs, I'm 5 foot 9 too so taller than average. I have had two babies in the last 2.5 years as well so my tummy is not my best area!

I don't think you look fat at all but your stomach isn't toned, if that's what you mean? We would need to see a full length picture to really judge, but why would you want a bunch of randoms on the internet judging your size anyway?

HuskyMcClusky · 20/01/2018 14:21

But she has got fatty deposits around her tummy button. So not a flat stomach.

Yes, we can see that. But virtually everyone has got ‘fatty deposits’ somewhere, even if they’re not overweight as a whole. So i don’t see how this is a helpful observation.

mistermagpie · 20/01/2018 14:22

Exactly, I've got a tummy just like OPs and have a low bmi. We all have to store fat somewhere!

whippswhapswound · 20/01/2018 14:32

We could be belly twins (unless I’m bloated...).

I’m about 5lb within a healthy bmi, but I’m tall which I find gives you more bmi leeway.

You’re like me, not overweight, but possibly would like to cosmetically tone?

yumyumpoppycat · 20/01/2018 14:32

What is with all this tummy button bollocks - I was underweight as a teen and still had an inny! I also had whopper babies and it didn't pop out then either.

Lolita why is your PT anti sit-ups (I hate them so looking for an excuse!)

DavetheCat2001 · 20/01/2018 14:34

I used to do loads of ab exercises, crunches etc and I would say an hour of pilates a week works just as well (and is far more enjoyable IMO)

RidingWindhorses · 20/01/2018 14:35

Your tummy looks pretty much like mine OP. I'm 5'4" 7 stone 12, size 8.

My tummy's untoned as I've been ill and have to stick to walking and tai chi.

UrgentScurryfunge · 20/01/2018 15:04

I'd say that OP looks slim and of healthy proportions. A little soft in the middle which may be down to body shape or having children (I blame the DCs for mine, and my soft abdomen isn't going anywhere by natural means, and I'm not going to resort to slaving over strict diets or surgery to change that).

We see a lot of slim "toned" bodies in the media, but they are either airbrushed, or the results of a draconian lifestyle. We aren't used to seeing bodies of women out of deepest youth, post motherhood, in a natural state as a result of normal varied diets.

MakeItStopNeville · 20/01/2018 15:15

Be proud of what you’ve accomplished and step away from the “inspo” on Insta. One of my friends has a gazillion followers for her figure and I know for a fact she doesn’t eat at all until dinner, and then it’s salad and Sauvignon Blanc. You look great! And definitely a big yes to Pilates.

EastMidsMummy · 20/01/2018 15:27

Huge??!! Not at all.

specialsubject · 20/01/2018 15:43

this is yahoo answers stuff and the correct answer is 'no hun your gawjus'.

Justanotherlurker · 20/01/2018 15:47

I would love if Ken M would give his response.

noeffingidea · 20/01/2018 16:00

Can't really tell from one photo. You need to post a full length face on photo, and a sideway view to really be able to get a realistic idea of your size and fat distribution.
I'm sure you're not huge though. Congratulations on your weight loss, and try and focus on your health and fitness rather than your appearance and dress size. Seeing an improvement in your fitness levels and muscle tone really helps you to feel good about your body, even if the scales still read a little bit too high.

halfwitpicker · 20/01/2018 16:01

Another fishing thread.

Oh I'm so fat... Yeah OK love
