Trying to care, Katie Hopkins, really trying to care....

Jack is not a bloody legend when it comes to dishing out about TERFS. As she did today. I cannot respect any woman who calls feminists they disagree with "trash".

InspMorse · 19/01/2018 17:20

I imagine she's just moving house.
The tabloids like to put a spin on everything... She's rich.

SandyDenny · 19/01/2018 17:21

Mogg - JM has only changed a few words in a very old saying. I don't think she's being clever, imo it's veering into gloating.

extinctspecies · 19/01/2018 17:25

If that's a mansion then I must live in a fucking palace.

Butterymuffin · 19/01/2018 17:25

Serves her right. She's spent enough time saying that other unfortunate people deserve what they get. Karma, Katie!

Oh and the 'open plan kitchen' looks like it came from the Big Brother house.

Jack is a flawed person (aren't we all?) but owns it. Katie H never admits she's wrong. I know who I'd rather spend time with.

Trying2bgd · 19/01/2018 17:26

I think she has a main home in London so she and her children are not going to be homeless. I didn't follow the twitter spat but I do think she deserves it for being so completely awful and hate filled. Sooner or later someone was going to come along and stand up to her (bravo Jack). All she had to do was say sorry I got it wrong, its not true, I've deleted the tweets etc but no....and now two sets of lawyers are having a very nice pay day.

RNBrie · 19/01/2018 17:29

The controversial columnist has decorated her music room with some interesting artwork

It's wallpaper not artwork. Journalists for tabloids are so lazy.

veuveo · 19/01/2018 17:30

I don't think Jack is gloating that she lost her house, that tweet is more commenting of the stupidity and the futility of it all. The tweet when she won was gloating! Justified imo.
Where does it say London? It says a retreat from London.
It's a lovely house, only need to get rid if the pink carpets.
No sympathy for KH at all.

rogermooresfifthwife · 19/01/2018 17:34

It's not really a mansion, it's a house!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/01/2018 17:35

poor her. Boo hoo. At least it hasn't been blown up by Assad and her children are having to shelter from chemical weapons.

I'm normally a very sympathetic person. I do not feel sympathy for her over this.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 19/01/2018 17:36

Beautiful house, terrible decor.

I think JM and KH are both pretty ugly characters tbh.

therealposieparker · 19/01/2018 17:37

I don't know who I loathe more Hopkins or Monroe. Both are painful attention seeking twats.

flumpybear · 19/01/2018 17:38

She's a *!€$ of the highest order - honestly it wouldn't bother me if I saw her on the streets she's that vile - I feel for her family and kids though in every way and seriously hope They're not like her at all

Baubletrouble43 · 19/01/2018 17:45

another who is confused about the definition of a mansion. Our family home (my parents) was 5 bedroomed but just a large house definitely not a mansion. There was just a lot of us.

BashStreetKid · 19/01/2018 17:53

Feels a bit gloaty, crowing about Hopkins losing her house.

No, it doesn't. It's not Hopkins' main home, she's hardly out on the streets. She could have avoided this so easily just by being prepared to admit she was wrong and make an apology. Why should Monroe be out of pocket?

Tensecondrule · 19/01/2018 17:54

Doesn’t the article suggest it’s a holiday Home? Can’t stand the poisonous witch anyway, feel sorry for her kids but if it was just her I think a period of being homeless might do her the world of good.

I can't stand Hopkins but think a lot less of Monroe now as well.

Why? The money isn't going to Monroe. It's just repayment of her costs, plus Hopkins' own costs. It somehow feels typical of Hopkins to have gone to more expensive lawyers - she now doubt that throwing money at it would make the law go her way. None of this would have happened if Hopkins hadn't decided to make a career of being poisonous about people.

SilverySurfer · 19/01/2018 18:02

I can't stand either of them and hope they both slither into obscurity.

Tarraleah · 19/01/2018 18:03

Definitively NOT a mansion.

Foreigners are going to think we all live like paupers! I know UK homes are tiny, but they are not that tiny.

FurCoatFurKnickers · 19/01/2018 18:05

Apparently it's the family home but Hatie stays in London 5 days a week (interview in DevonLive).

Not sure if she still spends 5 days in London now she doesn't have a job there.

000bourneFarm · 19/01/2018 18:05

With any luck her career (based on vile and offensive statements that serve only to display her ignorance and bigotry) is over now.

It is a shame then that one man under the UKIP banner has taken us 70 years backwards with Europe and another under the Labour banner ignorantly wants to take us economically back to the 1970's.

These people are all catalysts for change. Honour those quiet people who go about their day to day duties requiring nothing more than a fair wage and to contribute.

Jack Monroe is not one of them, just a pretty thick pawn in the game.

BashStreetKid · 19/01/2018 18:06

I'm not a fan of KH but really £107k fine for a tweet". That's ridiculous.

snash, it's not a fine. It's reimbursement of the costs Monroe incurred to secure justice. Hopkins wouldn't have had to pay anything in respect of the tweet if she'd agreed to withdraw her untrue accusations and apologise in the first place.

whirlygirly · 19/01/2018 18:10

I'm mesmerised by how awful that pink carpet is with the clashing sofa.
