She is a rude cow in person too! We were sat outside a restaurant while she and her friends were outside the restaurant next door. She 'considerately' moved away from her friends who were eating to smoke, and lit up right next to us and a load of families eating on the non smoking terrace! When someone asked her to move she basically told them to F off, finished her fag and dropped it on the floor.

I don’t think that Jack Monroe was particularly gracious about this outcome. Feels a bit gloaty, crowing about Hopkins losing her house.

I can't stand Hopkins but think a lot less of Monroe now as well.

She must have more financial difficulties than is being written about. Her costs are £107k if I read it correctly. So why the need to sell a £950k property.

Sooner or later KH was going to be taken to Court over what she put out on Twitter and in articles, she had enough pre-warnings that this would happen one day and chose to ignore them so I have no sympathy.

If Jack Monroe is being sincere by stating that if KH had apologised for whatever she said then no further action would have been taken then KH is even more of an a fool than I already thought she was, hoist by her own petard indeed.

you Costs for JM's side were £107k which KH was ordered to pay, plus £24k in damages, plus her own costs which were said to be double JM's.

I don't mind quite a lot of the decor - it's quite bland really. Except for the pink carpet in the living room and (ugh) bathroom. Would repaper the music room for sure.

Monroe's costs were £107K. Hopkins' costs were about twice that.

Hopkins was ordered to pay Monroe's costs plus her own, plus damages to Monroe of £24K.

That makes the total that Hopkins has to pay at £300K - £350K or so, I'm guessing.
