Jack Monroe asked for a retraction and an apology for the tweet. She didn’t get one so she sued. ( fir the want of an apology a trial was lost)
Katie lost her job, then another job after loosing the trial.
After loosing the trial, being ordered to pay costs of both sides and loosing her job she has had to put her house on the market. Get it? I think it’s a great tweet.

Reading the details of the case, I have no sympathy for Hopkins. Monroe asked for an apology, Hopkinds refused. Only then did Monroe take up the libel case.

Hopkins deserves every shit fest that comes her way.

She totally deserves it (but her kids don’t ). If you build an entire career around saying and writing vile, racist, judgemental shite then when anything proves to be slanderous or libellous, the people on the receiving end will no doubt receive great satisfaction in suing her for it if they can.
