Wtf is this programme? It's so awkward and ridiculous even my baby looks confused. I googled the presenters and they seem to be children's tv royalty yet they are so cringey together! There's no real AIBU except AIBU to physically cringe each time it comes on?!

Oh, Me Too, that was just so weird!

For reasons the bbc would never divulge they had changed all the music to the songs after the first few episodes. It was a big deal at the time and no one was ever able to find out why, as far as I know.

I’m on my way, to work today, walking my shoes through the city views.

I’ve got to do it, I’ve got to do it, I’ve got to beat the clock before the chime.

Ah, memories!

Nina and the bloody neurons drives me up the wall! Who decided the scientist should have childish pig tails and loads of make up ? Confused

While we're all here - and i was thinking of starting a thread about this this morning but i thought it would make me look mental ...

Bing: the episode where they're measuring height - WHY would not remembering to put his ears down result in CoCo measuring him shorter than he is? Surely it would result in a taller than true measurement? No? Or am i not getting it?

TheWeeMacGregors · 18/01/2018 17:56

Okay thanks the great beyond, what’s that got to do with tony hart though?? Confused! Was tony hart gay?

MrTrebus · 18/01/2018 20:40

@Laiste oh god that whole programme annoys me. And yes I remember the exact episode and the hair band that ensued Grin I did laugh but I couldn't have cared less how tall he is. Flop is so annoying too.

Laiste ~ because any wimmin doing science have to be non-threatening ;)

Opaldaisies · 18/01/2018 23:09

Laiste- I think Nina’s look is to appeal to younger viewers, can’t see anything wrong with that. She does also wear a lab coat, jeans and boots so the wardrobe person has not made her overly girly in clothes.

Not sure about the eyeshadow though!

My 18 month old DD loves Mr Tumble and Bing, but has developed an obsession with Baby Jake. She goes around yelling “Jake” when I’m trying to watch something else and starts signing (and yelling) “please” at me. I feel my brain slowly being eroded when that programme is on!

Mr Tumble is just fantastic and brilliantly educational. DD knows so much sign language from watching it; sometimes I have no idea what she’s on about until I watch the episode she’s picked it up from and it starts to make sense! He is so great with kids.

MrTrebus · 19/01/2018 09:41

I had no idea what they were on about on Bing this morning, when he sneezed Flop was saying Aieeetchee wtf is that? What happened to bless you?

But flop is mark rylance, so I can’t help but love him. I like all the ‘adults’ in bing, can’t stand the children.

Mermaid36 · 20/01/2018 07:03

My 21 month old twins love Something Special and Hey Duggee. They'll agree to watch the occasional Twirlywoos and Teletubbies also.

I've started putting Show Me, Show Me on for some variation. They are not convinced.

MrTrebus · 20/01/2018 17:12

No way! I did not know Flop was a famous person. Maybe I'll grow to like him!

He was in Bridge of Spies. Saw it recently and just pictured flop in my head the whole time! Grin

MrsHathaway · 20/01/2018 17:32

@Laiste I think that's the role he won an Oscar for (Best Supporting Actor).

SadieHH · 20/01/2018 17:36

Show Me Show Me is the only thing I really miss now that mine have outgrown CBeebies.

Laiste · 20/01/2018 18:10

Yes, it really was a good film MrsH. i just kept waiting for him to say 'no big thing ...' Grin

TheWeeMacGregors · 21/01/2018 07:54

And he was Cromwell in Wolf Hall, and he’s the ex Director of The Globe. You can’t knock their casting.

chinsahoy · 31/01/2018 11:19

Just watched show me show me today and I think I have a crush on Chris Blush
