AIBU to think Boden's models are too thin!

Just that really... I've made a complaint about this image. It was served to me as a Facebook advert and it just really got to me.

It’s not really about the individual. It’s about fashion industry standards.

It’s not like Boden have a range of models with different healthy builds - very tall and very slender is the default (and what modelling requires)

Clothes hang better on very slender models. We like identifying with these beautiful women because we might look a little bit like them when the zany floral patterned pencil skirt is stretched across our size 16 arses.

It's a shame they are focusing on the pink dress and not the rickets/bikini shoot which is far more egregious IMO.

I think the dress makes her look thinner probably, don't think she looks unhealthy and I'm quite a chubber. The dress is horrible tho imo.

It's a cycle clothing site where they show the clothes on a variety of real women and give their heights as well - this is really useful as you can see what it would look like on you, not just the skinny model. More sites should do this!

she's a model. Models are slim. She's not underweight ....she has a normal weight for a slim person. The UK has a weird view of what is a normal weight for sure.....but the opposite way from which you describe. People are seeing overweight as normal.
