Hi all, very long time lurker, first time poster because something is really playing on my mind.

Normally very very careful with contraception, but I'm worried because of what happened a week ago.

Me and DP were messing around and the long and short of it is he "pleasured me digitally" (snort) with "spermy fingers". God sorry for the TMI.

I checked the app i use to track my period and that was apparently in my fertile window.

Can you put my mind at rest - its unlikely for that to cause pregnancy, right? But how unlikely? Like super unlikely or just unlikely?

A good possibility tbh. Globs means he essentially inserted his sperm into your vaginal canal. They always warned us in school that it could happen.

My dad always said it took one try for me to be conceived ( not envy).

I think you have a strange idea that conceiving is always very difficult - it is for many women, but equally for many it’s very easy.

It's very possible. Just like many people get pregnant through the turkey bsster method, so why are spermy fingers different.
Sperm can live for around 20 minutes outside the body at room temperature.
If you think about the Penis is simply a tool that carries the sperm.

No practical advice, but I've never spoken to someone personally who has conceived in this way. We were definitely told in sex ed that it happens though!

Sperm lives longer than 20 mins - DS is an ivf Baby and DH wanked in a cup a lot over those years. Once doing it and dropping it off at Hospital and hour later.

I like there super fertile threads so much more since i had DS!

I know of people who it's taken years and years of trying.
But I know even more people who miss one pill, the condom splits, don't use a condom at all. But all got pregnant accidentally.
It could happen and like PP have said, it's mainly down to fertility.

I have never asked anyone the exact details of their kids conception, or whether or not they had a damp finger bang in a fertile period....

Yeah, especially as i doubt very much people IRL would be honest about that. "Oh little Tommy was conceived by a weird spermy finger after a night on the whiskies" vs "Yes he's darling isn't he? A honeymoon baby...."
