Another trans bully nightmare. Targetting the yellowberry bra brand now

lilymaynard.wordpress.com/2017/12/31/bra-gate-yellowberry-products-now-for-everyone/

When will this BS end?

Im hoping this whole gender bullcrap is the fad it appears to be, and just disappears in a plume of unicorn faeces

Did you see that 'flying' twat on Magdalen Berns' twitter today. You could literally not make this shit up.
a - you are not flying you are stood up pretending to be flying
b - you are not gender fluid, you are a man in a dress.

Stickystickstick · 02/01/2018 18:24

I feel perhaps we’re missing a trick here. We could be making boy-bras, earning a few bob and funding feminist activism with the profits.

Leatherbatwings · 02/01/2018 18:29

Yes, I did see it.

Please someone make it stop.

Pretty hard to ignore when they are trying to take away so much from women and girls. I feel so sorry for the yellowberry founder.

ATeardropExplodes · 02/01/2018 18:30

Please someone make it stop.

I want more of it - the peak transier the better.

Thehairthebod · 02/01/2018 18:37

Ah, that Alok guy in the video - isn't he the guy that said little girls are 'kinky'?

Thehairthebod · 02/01/2018 18:39

I LOVE Magdalen Berns - the way that she has absolute zero tolerance for this total horseshit is just excellent!

Ereshkigal · 02/01/2018 18:40

Ah, that Alok guy in the video - isn't he the guy that said little girls are 'kinky'?

Yes, and is a friend of Travis Alabanza of Topshop changing room invading fame.

Ereshkigal · 02/01/2018 18:42

I feel so sorry for the yellowberry founder.

I'd feel sorrier for her if her apology had not been quite so sickeningly grovelling.

Crumbs1 · 02/01/2018 18:43

Worlds going mad

ATeardropExplodes · 02/01/2018 18:44

I LOVE Magdalen Berns

Metoo.

Leatherbatwings · 02/01/2018 18:45

She is young with a lot of time, effort, money and emotion invested into her company, and bullied by men transactivists. I dont have the stomach for blasting her for folding. Besides I looked at the site and the wording is the same.

Why cant women support other women!

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 18:45

Ha ha sticky, great plan, how fantastically sneaky😂😂😂

Ereshkigal · 02/01/2018 18:48

Loops thinks the site wording will be changed to remove references to "gender".

BelligerentGardenPixies · 02/01/2018 18:49

The thing is, if any adult woke up in the opposite sexed body a la Freaky Fridayesque event , of course they would still have the thought that they were their previous sex, because they had spent upteen years thinking the thought "I am female/male", however that is not feeling like a woman/man, that is thinking you are a women/man. The facts of the matter would be that despite still thinking of yourself as the opposite sex you would not be that sex anymore. Thoughts can be erroneous.

Now, would an adult be able to adjust their thoughts to fit the new reality? Probably quite difficult but as this is never going to happen, it's a moot point.

You can't feel male or female because they are not feeling states, they are material reality. People think they are female or male because their observable biology is named thusly. These names have been derived via a scientific method of observation (over millenia).

People with sex dysphoria erroneously think they are the opposite sex. It's likely that there are a myriad of causes as to why individuals think this way but if it is biological in nature then we should be able to identify and use biological markers in diagnosing people with sex dysphoria - so far, no such diagnostic tool exists.

If gender is in the brain then it should be observable - until it is shown otherwise, gender is a social construct that is hierarchical in nature.

Grin

Could we also hold some kind of dragons den where we watch these people design a product and a website to go along with it, and watch them argue amongst themselves trying to make it phobia ism free and all inclusive.

bestthings · 02/01/2018 18:58

I am appalled that she apologised, . Bras for boys??? Grin Grin Grin
The world truly has gone bonkers.

nooka · 02/01/2018 19:10

None of the bras linked to on sale at M&S and JC Penny are gender neutral. Nor are the ones for sale at Yellowberry. The majority of junior / first bras on the big retailers sites are padded or moulded, which is the reason for yellowberry to be set up in the first place. Some of them are quite plain but they are all designed purely for female anatomy. The yellowberry bras are designed to be non sexualised and to fit young girls bodies when their breasts are very small. They are also generally neutral, in that they are not brightly cooured or patterned.

The majority of things we think of as being gender neutral are actually primarily designed for boys/men. The male body is still very much the default in most things.

I also find it slightly amusing that even the most 'woke' trans allies like loop here get their language in a twist, using transgirls/ transboys pretty much interchangeably. Transgirls will only have an issue with this website if none of the products fit their male physiques, the language is irrelevant as they think they are girls anyway. The transboys who need to be buying bras will be dysphoric about their bodies, a site that uses the word 'girl' is surely not that big of an issue compared with bodies they hate. If they are fine with their bodies but upset about being considered a girl then that is indeed sad, but it's usually the sexualisation and negative stereotypes of girls that transboys are trying to escape from and this site has neither.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 19:20

Nooka some are plain, no frills, or embellishments, plain colouring, black, white or grey. Can't get more neutral than that. Yes there are some frilly ones, take your pick.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 19:21

Or get sports bras, that are plain, no padding and usually in black white or grey.

thebewilderness · 02/01/2018 19:54

Like most trans advocacy it was an exercise in male dominance and female submission under threat.

nooka · 02/01/2018 20:59

I agree that some of the bras for sale at M&S and J Penny are quite neutral as in plain, but none of them are gender neutral. They are made for people of the female gender to fit their female bodies. In addition the majority of them are designed to make prepubescant bodies look more female by exaggerating breast development through the use of moulding or padding. Most tweens do not need sports bras. Most of them probably don't need bras at all as their breasts are small enough they don't need support let alone being strapped up tightly.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 21:05

Well tgey are tge options if a biological boy wants to wear a bra. Or Mabey a transact it's shoukd take their fingers out their butt, instead of whinging to this new start up, design your own range for male bodies.

kooshbin · 02/01/2018 21:08

The website is aimed at tween/teen girls.

Girls who think they want to be boys won't want bras, they'll want binders.

Boys who think they want to be girls won't want boy-bras, they'll want girl-bras.

Keeping the website slogan as "for girls" makes sense from whatever perspective one can think of, surely?

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 21:10

Like you said and I agree with you, male and female bodies differ, that company which this trans activist was whinging about, we're making bras shock horror, for girls, which is what most if their market will be. Why should they design gender neutral bras, when they won't sit or fit right on a girl, tgat is the whole aim of their company, to make nice fitting and looking bras for girls. If I were a Transgirl, I woukd avoid such company.

Gileswithachainsaw · 02/01/2018 21:14

Keeping the website slogan as "for girls" makes sense from whatever perspective one can think of, surely?

Well that's why it's all so ridiculous. They are apparently without question what ever they "identify" as yet constantly want everything designed for the very thing they identify as to he made gender neutral, yet dare to suggest something becomes gender neutral as opposed to for women and that's not good enough it has to be for women and have them included..

I mean make your fucking minds up.
