Another trans bully nightmare. Targetting the yellowberry bra brand now

lilymaynard.wordpress.com/2017/12/31/bra-gate-yellowberry-products-now-for-everyone/

When will this BS end?

Oh sorry that was to TheKitten, post moved on.

UpABitLate · 02/01/2018 17:35

I liked this

" I have had two kids, conceived when my male DH put his penis in me and inseminated me with his sperm."

Same here - ah those heady romantic days!

PositivelyPERF · 02/01/2018 17:35

Try RTFT Kitten.

Ereshkigal · 02/01/2018 17:37

kitten

But that intersex/gender non conforming/trans teenagers may not identify as female but are still growing breasts,

If they don't "identify as female" then they won't see them as breasts. Hence the use of the awful term "chestfeeding" by La Leche League in the US etc. So should bra companies remove all references to breasts? Should girls and young women be marketed to with sites speaking about "growing chests" rather than "breasts"?

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 17:38

I have no problem with whatever people want to be, or what they want buy, but stop whinging about gender specific items like bras, san pro. Buy it if you want, or don't, leave our sex alone, we don't want it destroyed and disseminated and to become drones or borgs instead, which is what these whinging transactivists want.

Ereshkigal · 02/01/2018 17:41

You really are sexist and homophobic, aren't you?

There's no such thing as sex. It's part of one's innate gender identity. Get with that programme!

Excellent point, @TheHairTheBod.

But I don't understand why the 'treatment' for gender dysphoria seems to be to do everything possible to prop up the idea that the sufferer is something they are not?

The treatment for anorexia does not involve saying 'yes you are right, you are overweight', it's about accepting a perfectly healthy body the way it is. It is always incredibly difficult for someone with anorexia to do that, but you don't just let someone carry on not eating properly because in their head they are fat.

UpABitLate · 02/01/2018 17:44

The whole website is highly sex specific though.

The woman talks about her sisters, her daughter, herself, all with reference to breasts.

I don't see how this is compatible with a removal of cis-sexist referenced.

If FGM is a step too far (linking the word female with vulva/vagina) then talking about all these women in relation to breasts is definitely out of line.

cafeaulaitpourvous · 02/01/2018 17:45

Everybody can wear what the hell they like, I can go into the men's underwear section and purchase a pair of Y fronts, despite me not having a penis. But what I will not do, is demand that men's underwear companies, are too masculine and boy orientated, and need to be gender neutral. And send crappy twitter's to such companies, demanding they change for me, or a small subgroup of women who like to wear y fronts so it's more feminine.

This is the voice of reason

Ha another way the whole thing trips itself up.

Teehee Grin

I think taking this piss is the way through this. I have enjoyed much of it on twitter today. Highly amusing. Then they call you a bigot and block you Grin

a small bra could be worn around the waist to hold their bollocks in perhaps?

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 17:48

That'd the aim of it UpABit, to provide nice bras for young girls, as she could not find ones for her little sister when she went bra shopping. Nobodies stopping who can buy them though.

There are lots of stores that make gender neutural starter bras like
www.marksandspencer.com/l/lingerie/angel-first-bras?OmnitureRedirect=starter+bras

Look pretty neutural and unflouncy, they are just looking for a problem where there is none. And bullying a small business.

Gileswithachainsaw · 02/01/2018 17:51

up

You would think if people were so sure of the facts that they have recruited all these allies willing to go to extreme verbally abusive and sometimes violent lengths to get the message across, that it would be a strong enough belief and have enough evidence to back it up that they wouldnt need the words hidden?

After all they know the truth?

Like vegetairians. They have ethical beliefs strong enough to avoid the meat aisles in supermarkets and not eat the ham in the fridge for the kids.

They don't need to pretend bacon doesnt exist.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 17:52

Or in the US where this company is based, JC Penny have quite a few gender neutural junior bras.

😆 I'm a very bad PnisERF.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 18:02

I bet that social worker would not have dared to approach JC Penny, Macey etc, as they would have been told politely, to feck off. I am disappointed at the founder of Yellowberry for bowing to this bullying, they know she is young and inexperienced so they can get away with it. She is not saying only Females can buy her bras, anyone can.

Leatherbatwings · 02/01/2018 18:07

Im hoping this whole gender bullcrap is the fad it appears to be, and just disappears in a plume of unicorn faeces.

There's always been.butch females and feminine males. I suspect it will revert when the full horror of mass castration and neutering sinks in.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 18:10

There have been the distinction between males and females, man and woman until the end of time, this gender fluid, binary crap a few years. Hopefully it will disappear in time.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/01/2018 18:11

Be who you want to be, do we need the poncy terms and altering womanhood.

AstraiaLiberty · 02/01/2018 18:16

I find the 'what if you woke up in a man's body tomorrow?' argument as evidence for innate gender very strange. Yes, I'd be very alarmed and uncomfortable if I suddenly woke up as a man. I'd be equally uncomfortable if I woke up as a woman with a completely different body to my own. Because body switching is inherently disturbing.

Also, if I woke up as a man, I'd have a male body, and regardless of how I felt about that body, I wouldn't take myself off to the women's changing rooms, because I wouldn't want to make other women uncomfortable. Basic decency.

ATeardropExplodes · 02/01/2018 18:20

If I woke up as a man tomorrow I'd be off to make my fame and fortune, swimming wouldn't enter my head! I'd be a miracle.

Thehairthebod · 02/01/2018 18:20

I agree that picking on a small business run by a young woman is particularly cowardly in this instance.

At least Travis Alabanza had the bollocks (pun intended) to go after Topshop.

Ereshkigal · 02/01/2018 18:20

Something lacking in most trans activists.
