Have all the family over tomorrow for new years day dinner.

Asda were supposed to deliver my shopping between 5pm-7pm. It still hasn't arrived.

I tried to call their customer service line but it is closed.

I have 10 people coming tomorrow for new years steak pie.

Shit!

dont know where you are but some tescos are open tomorrow

ThePinkOcelot · 31/12/2017 20:02

Was just about to say, Tesco are open tomorrow.
Have you had an email or anything from ASDA?

UrsulaPandress · 31/12/2017 20:04

Why did you risk that after all the horror stories of n one delivery and lack of correct items?

ICantDecideOnAUsername · 31/12/2017 20:04

Tweet them?

FucksakeCuntingFuckingTwats · 31/12/2017 20:05

You sure you didn't accidentally select click and collect?

Check if your local Tesco's is open

Cheby · 31/12/2017 20:05

Our local coop is open tomorrow, usually have enough to make a decent meal.

I’ve only ever heard dreadful things about Asda’s delivery service.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 31/12/2017 20:07

Rage with yourself not asda. Be more organised next time.

Bodicea · 31/12/2017 20:10

What does that mean zero? She organised an online shop. How is that not organised?Do you have to be a martyr and trudge to the shops in order to be organised?

mayaknew · 31/12/2017 20:10

I think my local Tesco is open for a while tomorrow I will need to check their opening times. But dh is working so I need to trail the 3 dcs out. I had told then they could stay in their jammies tomorrow as I didn't think we would need to leave the house. I'm so annoyed !!

No I've heard nothing. The app still just says out for delivery

May be running late????

troodiedoo · 31/12/2017 20:12

I'm sure it'll turn up some time tonight. Fingers crossed for you.

stickytoffeevodka · 31/12/2017 20:12

I think most supermarkets are open tomorrow, aren't they? I know it's a pain but at least you won't be stuck without food.

UrsulaPandress · 31/12/2017 20:12

Well at least if you trudge the shops you know you have your shopping. Since when did going to the shop to buy stuff make one a martyr?

mayaknew · 31/12/2017 20:12

I've never heard any horror stories only hilarious substitutions😂

I was organised I booked this on Friday morning. I could have gotten it delivered this morning but it's a relatives birthday today so I was out.

Kpo58 · 31/12/2017 20:15

I haven't forgiven ASDA home delivery from when they failed to deliver any baby formula. They didn't even try to substitute it and my DD very nearly went hungry.

mayaknew · 31/12/2017 20:17

That's awful KpoSad

I've never had any problems with them before so I didn't even think this delivery would be a problem Sad

Ummmmgogo · 31/12/2017 20:17

you can take them to asda in pjs if you don't want to break your promise tomorrow!

RadioGaGoo · 31/12/2017 20:17

That doesn't make sense Zero. Shopping online is being organised. To also get a slot like that, the OP may have had to book much earlier on in December than normal.

YouTheCat · 31/12/2017 20:19

I had Asda do this to me one snowy December. It was only a bit snowy and I live in a city on a main road so the roads were fine. I got no email or call. After them being 30 minutes late I called to find that they'd cancelled my order because of the snow. They are useless.

MrsMotherHen · 31/12/2017 20:21

Asda is open tomorrow.

dingdongdigeridoo · 31/12/2017 20:22

Asda did this to me one year on the 23rd December. I didn’t have a car and my very sick DH had to drive me to the shop and wait in the car while I fought the crowds.

In all honesty, you’d get no luck from their customer services anyway. They don’t give a shit! They offered to reschedule my shop for the 27th. Helpful.

blackheartsgirl · 31/12/2017 20:22

This is why I don’t do online shopping with supermarkets because of all the horror stories at this time of year.

littleducks · 31/12/2017 20:22

ASDA did this to me once, it was for click amd collect but from van parked at tube station not shop. Arrive and no record of my order nothing on van. They weren't very helpful at all when I called just offered £10 discount. Didn't use them again

ZeroFuchsGiven · 31/12/2017 20:25

Well personally if I was expecting 10 people for dinner on new year the last thing I would be doing was arranging delivery for nye.

Viviennemary · 31/12/2017 20:25

I think there is still time yet. They're probably behind. You never hear very good things on MN about Asda delivery. Good point about making sure you didn't do click and collect by mistake.
