Have all the family over tomorrow for new years day dinner.

Asda were supposed to deliver my shopping between 5pm-7pm. It still hasn't arrived.

I tried to call their customer service line but it is closed.

I have 10 people coming tomorrow for new years steak pie.

Shit!

I tried Asda delivery a few weeks ago- the driver delivered (my DH took the delivery) but a few minutes after he went we realised there was a bag of booze expensive items missing. I rang the helpline to see if they could get hold of the driver to come back, but the call centre op told me that they don't do redelivery and for my inconvenience, they could offer me a refund.

Oh so you're offering to not charge me for items I haven't had? Gee thanks!

I ended up with a 25 quid evoucher but now it's redeemed I won't use them again

mayaknew · 31/12/2017 20:26

If the app still says out for delivery do you think it will probably arrive tonight?

Our Asda is open tomorrow, check yours OP - you might be able to pick up suitable replacement food early enough to cook. (If you have the funds)

shakeyourcaboose · 31/12/2017 20:27

Asda once substituted size 0 nappies for size 5 pull ups, that was fun as live rural could not drive due to csect and DH parental leave over. Luckily had the micropore tape for covering my wound so with some inventiveness managed till DH return!

KnittingOnEmpty · 31/12/2017 20:27

You were flying close to the wind weren't you choosing a late slot and not leaving yourself any leaway. Not got any storecupboard staples in?

MrsHarveySpecterV · 31/12/2017 20:29

They are probably running massively late so hopefully it will still turn up. I haven't used Asda delivery since their driver broke my toe when I was nine months pregnant and the customer services couldn't understand why I made a complaint?!

Vitalogy · 31/12/2017 20:31

Our Tesco isn't open tomorrow.

Wineandpyjamas · 31/12/2017 20:31

I've never had any problems with Asda delivery apart from a few suspect substitutions. I would imagine what with it being New Year's Eve maybe they're busy and running late? If it says out for delivery I would think they'll still deliver tonight. Fingers crossed for you! Worse comes to worst you can always nip out tomorrow to Tesco as pp have said but understand not ideal with 3 young dc!

mayaknew · 31/12/2017 20:32

I know knitting but tonight was really the only time I would be in to get the delivery I've been so busy. Our Tesco is open tomorrow. Asda is too far away to nip to that's why I have it delivered usually. It's a 40 min drive away. Tesco is down the road.

Asda delivery service is terrible in my experience. Like PP, we have also had expensive items (booze) not appear in our delivery. Items damaged, wrong quantities of fruit and veg. We have used them about 4 times in the last 3 years, and each time we've had issues. Never again!

Vitalogy · 31/12/2017 20:36

Asda looks like it's open.

FortyFacedFuckers · 31/12/2017 20:41

I've never had any problems in all the years I have used them I think it might just be late they tend to deliver until 11pm, how is the weather where you are?

FortyFacedFuckers · 31/12/2017 20:42

My app usually gives a guide time within the 2 hour slot, what time did yours say?

mayaknew · 31/12/2017 20:43

Nothing other than the two hour slot forty

Weather is totally fine. Delivery slots finished early tonight. Ours is usually til 11 also but I'm sure 6-8 was the last slot tonight.

I've never had a problem with Asda, once some washing liquid leaked on lots of stuff, but the driver helped me clean up, and refunded all the sticky stuff (left it with me too, so I just washed it). The drivers also carry stuff in for me because my hands are bad.

TatianaLarina · 31/12/2017 20:49

Asda once failed to deliver to me, and I never used them again.

PinkAvocado · 31/12/2017 20:51

We used Asda once. They ended up only delivering about £20 worth of stuff due to so much not being in stock. Never used them again. Pop out tomorrow and get something (or order in Indian) and also rage!

KiteMarked · 31/12/2017 20:51

Asda is crap. Knowing its parent company (Walmart), I'm not surprised!

AdoraBell · 31/12/2017 20:52

Anything arrived yet?

JaneEyre70 · 31/12/2017 20:53

I think you can count on it not arriving tonight....... have you anything in the freezer you can put together?? My kids love our "random" meals - I'm a whizz at store cupboard and freezer pasta bakes Grin

mayaknew · 31/12/2017 20:53

Nope😭
