Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya tells NBC News that she and her cohorts at the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting did not meet then-candidate Donald Trump, despite Steve Bannon’s belief that such an encounter must have happened.

I think the dumb as a brick comment is a deliberate poke at Trump which will no doubt rile him bigly, what with Ivanka being the golden child.

He has a long history of fabricating quotes and exaggerating events to make his stories more fun to read. I've been reading him since he was NY Mag's media critic. He's an entertaining writer, occasionally insightful, but not who I'd trust on something this complicated.

bad There’s stuff about Ivanka dissing Donnie’s hair (and how the look is achieved), a bedroom that no one has access to except for Ivanka in the mornings, trump’s favourite hobby being pursuing his friends’ wives...it’s a little overwhelming
