After a quick read, seems this might pass a laugh test (enough to become a ceaseless conservative talking point with double bonus Scalia points!!) but you have to squint really hard to see any merits.

Beeitbart comments all in support of trump and not bannon (although actually, that’s just what trump jr said and I’m not willing to verify by looking myself so no idea if that’s true but I have seen some screenshots of pissed off trump supporters).

I am not convinced at all by a few screenshots from tump Jr, but if Bannon doesn't get any support from his homies I think that will only push him to shout louder and dirtier. He has never struck me as a guy who is going to go quietly, particularly when backed into a corner.

Sorry, I meant other twitter people had posted the photos of screenshots - Donnie jr was content just to say he’d seen all the comments and without breitbart support, what did bannon have etc (seems to have inherited his father’s knack for projection there I think)

That statement re Bannon is pure Trump ego, but it's pretty obvious that someone at the WH edited it for language and composition. And I was at the 'fake media awards' or whatever the fuck he's calling it. It's a pure example of his 'reality TV' mindset, isn't it? Just those two things are pure insanity. Add in the 'I have a bigger penis button, the weird thing about Palestine/'gratitude'/withdrawing funds/'giving up Jerusalem' (or whatever it was he said) and I just feel like I'm looking at a toilet full of shit and that someone has just pulled the handle. It remains to be seen if the mess will be neatly flushed away or if it's going to back up and make a huge mess all over the country floor. One that will take huge effort and lots of money to clean up.

The GOP could end this farce so easily by starting impeachment proceedings. You know they have enough grounds (or are very close) if they really wanted to. It would stop the circus and render Scrotus impotent at least until the midterms. But because they know it would increase the likelihood of a Dem sweep, they won't do a damn thing. To quote that old maxim; "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely". Right now the GOP has absolute power in Congress. And they are as corrupt as corrupt can be.

I think it's always been pretty obvious they were setting up Ivanka to take over where Trump left off. Having her "sit in"for him, sending her on "diplomatic" meetings and such.
