I had family over for Xmas at mine this year and stay over . Dp of 1 year joined us as he has had a difficult time recently with parents separating under very complicated circumstances. We woke up together about 8.30 and he said he hadn't slept well due to his family circumstances being on his mind. While I was comforting him, he got turned on. I mean chick lit and romance books are popular with women (and those 50 shades books which everyone went mad for). The women in those books are almost like a placeholder for readers to project themselves on. I don't see porn as being too different, the guys in it are sort of incidental.

I think you're over-reacting a bit, OP. It can be a good tension releaser, so I'm told, and it probably was helping him till you started on him. I'd only have found it unreasonable if he was a fairly new partner, but you've been together for a year.
