WWYD teacher behaving inappropriately

WWYD with this information.

I have been told that last night my daughters form tutor (male aged 28) was very drunk at a local nightclub. He was grinding against a 17YO girl l and shoved an 18YO man who told him he was embarrassing himself and to go home.

Would you report it to the school? If so who to and what would you say?

Were the 17 and 18 year olds pupils?

CheapSausagesAndSpam · 22/12/2017 21:29

Yes...were they his pupils?

dontknowwhattodowiththisinfo · 22/12/2017 21:29

Yes. Man a pupil of the teacher. 17YO girl not his student.

He was told several times how old she was.

Who told you and why?

RedHelenB · 22/12/2017 21:29

Yes you do need to report this.

Fattymcfaterson · 22/12/2017 21:30

Why is the 17 yo a girl, but the 18 yo a man.

Surely to be in a nightclub you're a woman

RedHelenB · 22/12/2017 21:30

Or rather those who saw him would need to.

Fattymcfaterson · 22/12/2017 21:31

Also, what's to report? Whilst a bit sleazy a 17yo is over the age of consent? Or was he forcing himself on her?

dontknowwhattodowiththisinfo · 22/12/2017 21:32

Another 17YO told me because she knows he is my daughter form tutor.

I think I should report it but feel anxious.

17 is legally a child so a girl but at 18 he is legally a man. Lots of 16/17YOs go to this nightclub, but they still seem like children to me!

Totally reasonable for a drunk bloke to believe everyone in a nite club is over 18

And why would he take the word of a pupil he teaches about her age? Pissed bloke would likely have thought he was winding him up/taking the piss

Splinterz · 22/12/2017 21:33

Nothing illegal happened.

Night club might be at fault for allowing fake IDs, but that's about it.

ScreamingValentaMySantaExpress · 22/12/2017 21:35

17 is legally a child

17 is over the age of consent ... she's not his student; unless there was reason to think his attentions were unwanted, I don't think there is anything to report (other than the nightclub, for admitting underage drinkers).

dontknowwhattodowiththisinfo · 22/12/2017 21:35

As described they were drinking and dancing and he came over and started dancing with this girl and a few of his pupils told him her age and one tried to intervene but was shoved away. It all seems very inappropriate behaviour. The girl was happy dancing with him. He ran off when someone started videoing him. I don't know what to make of it. It's just grim.

She wasn't his student. Nothing illegal happened - however sleazy it may be.

RavenWings · 22/12/2017 21:35

I presume that the 17 year old had a fake ID to get into the club? It's reasonable enough to assume anyone in a club is 18+.

It's a bit sleazy but schools do not own their staff, he's a free man outside of school hours. None of your business.

GreenTulips · 22/12/2017 21:36

Teachers are allowed to have a night out!

How did he know her age? She could've walked off or moved - assuming they wee only 'dancing'

Did he touch her and she didn't like it? Was she upset or felt uncomfortable? What was her reaction to this attention?

dontknowwhattodowiththisinfo · 22/12/2017 21:36

He knew her age. They were a mixed group aged 16-18. He knew a few of them.

Anasnake · 22/12/2017 21:37

What has he done wrong ?

DB24 · 22/12/2017 21:37

No I wouldn't. It's heresay as you weren't there. If you want to do anything I would ask the people who were there to consider reporting it.

Amanduh · 22/12/2017 21:38

Errrr 17 isn't legally a child. He was dancing with a girl over the age of consent. What would you report him for?! He's sleazy but that's itz

Amanduh · 22/12/2017 21:38

*it

lunabear1 · 22/12/2017 21:38

dont ruin someones career based on gossip from drunk teenagers.

what you should be doing is reporting the nightclub for serving under 18s

happypoobum · 22/12/2017 21:39

As she isn't his student I think you should keep out of it. He hasn't done anything illegal - although of course she shouldn't have been in the club drinking.

Amanduh · 22/12/2017 21:39

And she was happy with it so...?

MrsSthe3rd · 22/12/2017 21:39

You're hearing this from one side. And she is over the age of consent.

Plus, why are these girls going into clubs under 18? Surely he had reason to think she was 18.
