It is I know...I just wanted a moment to dream

Get the Disney castle.

Blonde0nBlonde · 22/12/2017 11:10

I always wanted the pirate ship when I was little, one of my brother's friends had it and I used to make him take me to look at it. I wonder if I could re-create my childhood dreams Grin

If you have debts then I wouldn't blow the whole thing on Lego - maybe £100 or so. If you're debt-free, and Lego will make you happy, then buy it. It's not in the least crazy.

greenapplesplatter · 22/12/2017 11:11

Go for it!! It's a bonus!! Therefore money you wouldn't of had, deserves to spent on something for enjoyment purposes. I get a quarterly profit share from work & that's the excuse I use!!

Bubblysqueak · 22/12/2017 11:14

It's amazing ! I saw it when I visited the store in London.

StrawBasket · 22/12/2017 11:23

I think that's why so many people have kids - so they can buy all the toys they want without feeling self conscious.

It's not crazy at all. You could always gift it to a charity in a few months.

Coldilox · 22/12/2017 11:23

I want the detectives office, am a detective so it fits!

Hoping to get the Yellow Submarine for Christmas

calyyypo · 22/12/2017 11:27

My mum asked me what I wanted for Chistmas and I said I really wanted toys but would settle for a jumper. Now really wished I'd asked for Lego! Love the fishing shop.

BarbieBrightSide · 22/12/2017 11:32

I bought this for me the children to do together over the Christmas holidays. I have seen pictures of it with lights inside and it looks fab!

Just checking my husband didn't write this post Grin

Merry Christmas

totorostoes · 22/12/2017 11:33

Blonde0nBlonde it is, I think it's like £300! Something that I could never justify spending on myself so my DP got my family to club together and got me it.
I collect the big building creator sets and still have the detectives office sat in the attic waiting to be built. Going to prioritise the castle over that though!

Blonde0nBlonde · 22/12/2017 11:33

haggis My mum asked me too, I said socks...and Lego...you've missed a trick!!

Our new house has a floored attic...i've offered my OH the spare room for an office...and then i'm going to build a Lego cave in the attic....but don't tell him :D We are doing one present each this christmas to account for the house buying...and he's just like...are you sure it's lego you want?

Go for it . Santa is bringing me the Christmas train and a nutcracker . Last year I got a santa snow globe .
If you really want to blow the lot get the Disney castle , it’s beautiful. Also if you buy direct from the Lego website you’ll get points towards your next purchase and I think it’s double points atm. Also use a cashback website . Topcashback were giving 20% cashback on the Lego store a few weeks ago .

opinionatedfreak · 22/12/2017 11:42

I'm oncall over Christmas so am marooned in London with my family elsewhere.

I got a bug LEGO kit for my birthday and am planning to build it. By myself. With no well meaning help!

I will of course now spend the entire bloody time in the hospital.

TheHungryDonkey · 22/12/2017 11:46

If you choose wisely and keep the box and instructions carefully, Lego is a great investment. Discontinued sets go for eye watering prices.

Make sure you keep the built thing out of the sun because white bricks discolour badly over time.

Blonde0nBlonde · 22/12/2017 11:47

I have two extra days off without any demands on my time...imagining a little lego session in front of the fire is bliss.

DH has bought his annual lego set with the present budget. Usually we spend the tesco vouchers on it. But this year they're paying for a ferry trip. Definitely do it. A lego build is a part of Christmas for a few adult friends.

TheFlame · 22/12/2017 11:50

the detectives office is awesome - there's so many different areas to it and there's a bit of a narrative to it about prohibition style cookie smuggling.

I also highly recommned assembly square.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 22/12/2017 11:51

Buy the lego.

I want lego but have too many lego stealing children.

When they leave home I will have all the sets.

GumsandNoses · 22/12/2017 11:53

Detective office vote from me!
Coldilox - get it for your real life office!

BulletFox · 22/12/2017 11:55

Your bonus, your choice.

I'm surprised you're into lego, but thinking about it, it might be therapeutic and soothing like knitting or jigsaw puzzles

Blonde0nBlonde · 22/12/2017 11:55

Hovering over the detectives office....must find will power
