30 years old and have got an unexpected bonus of £350...is it crazy to blow it on a big lego set?

It is I know...I just wanted a moment to dream
:( Adulting is hard.

I'm currently in the ziplock bags stage, but may bag and box so the flat plates can live in the box and the little parts can go in the bags. I love a bit of organising too, although I have a sore back from bending over my little bank bricks last night. I already hit substitutions on the first few pages, but so far nothing too specialist so all being well I will be able to cobble something reasonable together.

Is your plan to build up a complete list of missing parts so you can put in an order on www.bricklink.com or shop.lego.com/en-GB/Pick-a-Brick so that you can have a 100% complete set with all the right parts?

Blonde0nBlonde · 10/01/2018 18:33

Yea, some of the parts I have been able to rummage out of my spares and anything that’s hidden or that I can just mod nicely I may leave, but I’m making a list anyway, and may hit bricklink or try and trade for some pieces.

I’m excited for the project anyway

I bloody love Lego! Could you spend half on lego or just blow it all! Why the hell not! Keep the box you can always sell it 🙂

Blonde0nBlonde · 10/01/2018 20:09

7% cashback would be rude not too really! Getting house keys tomorrow though...so more likely I’ll have to sell off some stuff rather than acquire more...although.........

Finished!! Just need to source the parts for the chandelier and a few of the doors and some smooth tiles to finish off the roof areas, but I managed ok with replacement parts and supplements, it was harder to sort through the pieces out of the little numbered bags in the end 😁

Here you go - another Lego lover - he has a whole room dedicated to it with all the pieces stored by colour in glass jars!!

@OddestSock

I’d get Lego. We have a Christmas markets set that we build every year in December - it’s one of our traditions to get it out & build it. I’d buy another to go with it. Or the Disney castle.
Oh my gosh the disney castle is the STUFF OF DREAMS!!!!
