After reading of the four year babysitting I think we need CFOTY awards. Who are your nominees?

Parking category - winner: the neighbours running the dog grooming place who were directing their clients to use the poster's drive, with a close runner-up for next door's nanny blocking a drive because the neighbours didn't want her parking on theirs.

Work category - Flexi-time CF and her mother.

I love a CF thread.

I'll nominate the part time colleague CF and then said colleagues mum who threw coffee into the OPs handbag 😱

Does anybody have links to these brilliant sounding threads please? I have been reading for a little while so know the flexi-time CF and family but not the others!

When did the cheeky fucker phenomenon start on mumsnet? It must be fairly new and now every other thread has CF in the title. I just don't get it. It is the most irritating aspect of the entire place and I suspect 9 times out of 10 it's blatant trolling.

My memory is crap so apologies this is vague, but there was one 2-3 years ago about somebody bringing a load of friends to a ski chalet and completely out-stayed their welcome and messed it up ?

Agreed, @Maudlinmaud. They might start with a real story of brass neck. Posters are then lapping up the ever more elaborate punishment and army of helpers. This pushes the OP to start embellishing. Themes and nicknames emerge and soon it is fiction pure and simple.

The 6 week free childcare CF was MADNESS. That's my CF winner right there. That neighbour was pure nuts.

Dog groomer cf gets my vote, followed by the neighbour down the road who used OP's drive for their carer and couldn't stop, can't remember what the guy was called (it's been a long day already!).

I nominate Bingate, where a CF neighbour kept rounding up all the bins in the road and putting them in the OP's back garden.

Bloody hell have only just now read the mexican house thief and my jaw is on the floor!!! These CF stories always have me shocked because I don't think I've ever encountered anyone like these people in my life.

Oh gosh, there was one maybe last year where the OP and her DP gave a bride and groom a generous cash gift (about £100 I think). OP had inherited a substantial sum of money from a family member and she had an email from the bride after the wedding asking them if they wanted to reconsider their gift given their current financial position.

I never did read to the end of the thread to see the final outcome.
