I know it's great news I am really happy to be getting it back I'll be changing it as soon as I can

Well worth Fucking the economy, the extra queues at customs, but yay blue

MissionItsPossible · 22/12/2017 13:43

I do think the blue one looks better

VladmirsPoutine · 22/12/2017 14:18

Steady everyone: we have a (and I quote) "tangible benefit of Brexit".

Not only that... hold on to your seats folks: the govt finally released the sector analyses and we're now privy to the knowledge that fishing in the UK is mainly concentrated in coastal areas and AND airbus make planes!!

AgnesSkinner · 22/12/2017 15:58

FFS, we could always have had blue passports Hmm

shhhfastasleep · 22/12/2017 16:15

I am old enough to have travelled on a blue passport many times. They're jolly nice. But not worth all this stupid shit.

Moussemoose · 22/12/2017 16:35

Blue always looks good on me. It matches my eyes.

It's a shame I'm a socialist.

shhhfastasleep · 22/12/2017 16:55

If it's not outsize, made of cardboard with a handwritten numbers on it , I will demand a second referendum. That's what I had in the 70s and we all know everything was better in the 70s. Especially before we joined the Common Market. Those were such wonderful times and I'm so glad we are going back to them.
Shame the economy is going to be screwed.

VladmirsPoutine · 22/12/2017 17:02

I've read that many in the conservative party don't necessarily want Brexit - yes of course you have the headbangers that do. But in the main they don't. But and it's a very important 'but' - if they were to reverse on Brexit it would basically sink the party into oblivion for years to come. That would always be the stick with which they'd be beaten from all sides including internally. Even Cameron didn't want to leave.
Hey ho Xmas Smile

KennDodd · 22/12/2017 17:12

Hopefully once Brexit really bites they'll get shit from all sides (that they deserve) anyway.

shhhfastasleep · 22/12/2017 17:17

These new passports sound brilliant- I bet I can live and work in 27 neighbouring and nearby countries with one ... no wait....
Anyway, I thought all this wanting to travel and live abroad stuff was all middle class Remainer bollocks. Real British people live and work in Britain. They don't need passports. They have strong borders and only invite foreigners here to do the menial jobs that we are too brilliant to do.

AgnesSkinner · 22/12/2017 21:57

Although with the FT reporting that those that didn’t have a passport were more likely to vote Leave, it makes you wonder why they are now so happy with the prospect of getting a blue version of a thing they didn’t have anyway?
