Re the emails. We need to remember that we're dealing with people who have always been able to either bluster, bully, or bribe their way out of any situation. This is the first time any of them are really facing someone who is saying, paraphrasing the words of Homey the Clown; "I don't think so, Mueller don't play that".

And this is exactly why IF it's happening, it's all being timed for Friday, the 'starting day' of the two week period of Christmas & NY. People are going to be away from their political 'home turf', families aren't going to want other family members deserting the festivities to go protest, traveling to/from major protests is going to be difficult unless you're driving, people aren't watching the MSM or SM as much, and that general feeling of 'it's the holidays I can't be arsed'. The Scrotus Gang is counting on all this to do their dirty work without a lot of public attention and to put the kibosh on any type of major disruptions.

I'm currently sitting in my foxhole, peering over the edge into no man's land. I can hear rumbling but don't see anything. The 'enemy' has assured me no attack Mueller firing is imminent. But I'm on alert none the less. Something is going to happen Friday. I'm just not sure what it is!

THREAD. It's worth pointing out that Mueller's investigation is as much a threat to Putin as to Trump. If it uncovers illegal acts on the part of Russians – incl financial crimes, or hacking – there could be some oligarchs who stand to go to jail (or never step foot in US again).

1. Remember that the big issue Russia has with U.S. is the Magnitsky Act, which prohibits many oligarchs from entering the U.S. and using it as their playground as punishment for their participation in human rights abuses.
2. This why Russia retaliated by prohibiting Americans from adopting Russian children.(Bc obviously the ppl you punish are childless couples and Russian orphans desperate for a home.)
3. The whole "it was about adoptions" charade regarding that sketchy Trump Tower meeting was really about getting rid of Magnitsky.
4. The Q to ask is, why is POTUS so keen on keeping Putin happy? Repealing sanctions? Reluctantly signing new ones (and never enforcing them)? Making sure he never publicly criticizes Putin?
5. This has also included the (unrecorded?) phone call in Oval Office after election. Inviting Russian foreign minister and press (but not U.S.) to Oval Office. Sharing intel from an ally w Russia without ally's permission.
6. ...Meeting w Putin with no one else present at G-20. Even considering a "joint cyber agreement" w Russia (after they hacked out election!). And now these weird two calls and press release w exclamation point.
7. Even if you give POTUS the full BOD that he knew nothing of Russia's activities during election, all of this behavior does not add up in any rational way. Unless he is afraid. Of something that Putin knows or has from even before the election.

10. FWIW, any "normal" gov employee w TS/SCI clearance has to make extensive financial disclosures precisely bc you never want anyone to be able to exploit a vulnerability, or have leverage over you.
11. Point being: Putin has reasons to be really concerned about Mueller, and even if just that – and not protecting his campaign – is motivating POTUS' desire to shut it down, it still points to some big q's about how objectively this admin can be protecting our nat'l security.

No, it won’t be when it is expected. He knows it will trigger a constitutional crisis; he isn’t that naive. But he will have plans in place - devised by others - for when it occurs.

He's between a rock and a hard place. Quite genuinely.

This really isn't how he thought it was all going to be. About his only option is to ........develop a ........heart condition (say) which requires him to stand down but still allows him to eg play golf.
