That's a really inspiring message from DawnHQ. I have a friend who thinks I'm potty to be so over-invested (in fact it's a point of irritation to me, we have v different views) but what I think is... if it changes just one persons opinion or enlightens a few, it's worth being over invested.

That is interesting, Claws. I think one of the thread’s strengths is that we have posters in many time zones and US contributors who can help to contextualise what’s going on. It’s the first thread I check in on when I wake up or finish work because I can get a rapid overview of any movement in the lumbering Trump administration or news. I can the follow up via different sources. It’s a great resource.

It is frustrating how the press have abandoned Puerto Rico in the main.

roussette my take is that the patriarchy operates with whatever conditions it has: I think if men could get pregnant, abortions might be more readily available but those men who had multiple abortions would be seen as studs etc and women would still be demonised as sluts. Anything to skew things to subjugate women.
