Surely now is the time for a vote of utter no confidence in Theresa May. AIBU to think she and those around her are utterly incompetent and making Britain a laughing stock around the globe?

@makeourfuture give over with your labelling of people.

I am left of centre. I don't want this lot or Corbyn and his cronies.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 05/12/2017 09:57

In my ideal world Labour would be in charge and there would be no Brexit.

Best get rid of Corbyn and McDonnell then.

LalaLeona · 05/12/2017 09:59

Couldn't agree more op. Theresa May should be ashamed at how low the country has sunk, what with the Brexit shambles and the poverty report yesterday. However, like turkeys voting for Christmas, if there was an election I believe the conservatives would still get in. I don't know what's wrong with people.

raisinsarenottheonlyfruit · 05/12/2017 10:01

The hard left love their Marxist principles so much they are willing to sink the whole nation.

Jeremy Corbyn is hardly hard left. His policies are fairly mainstream for the rest of Europe.

Stop reading the Tory rags, they're distorting reality.

Justanotherlurker · 05/12/2017 10:02

Corbyn spoke to terrorists in a bid to bring about peace.

No he didn't, and it is pointless argument.

He has as anti eu as many hardline tories, with the Putin apologist Milne pulling his strings he is just as bad as TM in many ways.

makeourfuture · 05/12/2017 10:05

I believe in democracy

That referendum has no Constitutional validity at all.

The Tories hatched that. The Tories are failing at it.

Sunk Cost Fallacy.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 05/12/2017 10:07

Don't need to read any Tory rags, I know a hard Marxist when I see them, fuck knows I lived with enough of them.

LizzieSiddal · 05/12/2017 10:10

Tell DUP tough shit the border will be in sea between NI and rest of UK. Hmm

Ok, if you don't care about NI's border, you won't mind if the border between France and the UK, starts in Paris and goes south.

Intercom · 05/12/2017 10:10

No, we don't need an election again at this point. Corbyn and McDonnell would be a disaster IMO. Let the government get on with the job and Labour get on with being the opposition. I prefer PM May to Cameron and Osborne by a long way.

Intercom · 05/12/2017 10:17

"Jeremy Corbyn is hardly hard left. His policies are fairly mainstream for the rest of Europe."

Since when was the rest of Europe a political benchmark for what mainstream is? The EU is pretty left wing and Corbyn far left.

LalaLeona · 05/12/2017 10:18

How on earth can you? I genuinely don't get it.

ParadiseCity · 05/12/2017 10:26

@LizzieSidal I'd be happy with no borders anywhere if we were setting the world up from scratch.... I wouldn't mind at all if there was no border with France. I didn't want Brexit. I don't want a return to the Troubles.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 05/12/2017 11:04

Corbyn spoke to terrorists in a bid to bring about peace.

Oh that rubbish one. So when did he speak to the other side then?

makeourfuture · 05/12/2017 11:07

Why re-ignite these things?

makeourfuture · 05/12/2017 11:08

We have peace, let's not go back.

Justanotherlurker · 05/12/2017 11:17

We have peace, let's not go back.

So genuine question, what do you think JC and Labour would have done differently regarding NI border, and or Brexit for that matter?

Rebeccaslicker · 05/12/2017 11:34

I'm outside the Houses of Parliament right now. This is the view from my cab...

To think we need a General Election asap
Rebeccaslicker · 05/12/2017 11:35

Sadly he appears to be alone with his flags at the moment!

makeourfuture · 05/12/2017 11:40

So genuine question, what do you think JC and Labour would have done differently regarding NI border, and or Brexit for that matter

As we were part of EU, fully represented, worked within the system to change anything we felt needed changing. Understanding that referendums are not the way our Constitution works.

Rebeccaslicker · 05/12/2017 11:47

You think that corbyn and McDonnell want to "work within a system"???

Justanotherlurker · 05/12/2017 11:51

As we were part of EU, fully represented, worked within the system to change anything we felt needed changing. Understanding that referendums are not the way our Constitution works.

Yet still his supporters fantasize that he will cancel Brexit!

Corbyn voted against joining the EEC in 1975

He then voted against all the Treaties in Parliament - the Single European Act, the Maastricht Treaty, the Nice Treaty, the Lisbon Treaty.

There isn't a single EU treaty he has voted in favour of.
He then went on holiday in the middle of the fairly short EU referendum campaign. And wouldn't say whether he had voted for remain or not. And then on June 24th 2016, he stood outside Parliament looking very happy and demanded Article 50 be triggered at once!

Why do you think Labour didn't talk about Brexit at all at their conference? Because they didn't want a row between the Remainer MPs and the pro-Brexit leadership.

makeourfuture · 05/12/2017 11:54

Again, Labour did not do this.

shhhfastasleep · 05/12/2017 11:55

Corbyn is a Brexit enabler. If he has the legions of support that he claims, he could have stopped it.

makeourfuture · 05/12/2017 11:58

Nor was this the time, given the state of the world, and the social/economic problems here, for this Tory folly.

Justanotherlurker · 05/12/2017 11:59

Again, Labour did not do this.

Does not mean he his happy with it happening, or that he will reverse it, that is the issue that you have a hard time accepting.
