because I haven't got any clue. Literally no ideas at all.....and people are going to ask me what I'd like, and I'm just going to sound like an idiot saying, "I don't really want/need anything" just like I do every year.

So please tell me what you want so I can pass it off as my own opinion....

New TWD calender.

Willow2017 · 24/11/2017 15:32

Blue sky:

The mythical 'perfect dressing table'
A coat that is somehow both louche and smart
Hermès scarf-someone once came into a shop I worked in while wearing one and it was clear from at least 10m away that it was the nicest scarf I would ever meet. Just glaringly, radiantly lovely. It was kind of a pale red, woven fabric.
And on that note, I'd quite like a Cartier Tank watch, haha.

Realistically:
Ilex crenata for Niwaki pruning-the biggest anyone feels like buying me
Japanese pruning shears
Clinique Sperbalm
Maternity massage
Nice, somewhat thick socks
A cast iron casserole/cookpot

I'll be 7.5 months pg by that point and have told family not to hold back on cute baby stuff, if they're that way inclined Smile

This is on my list and strange as it sounds, it is a console game that comes close to jungle exploration:

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003R7JPUY/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=IMP6UOD9JTLOK&tag=mumsnetforum-21&colid=28QY3MHG8RG9N

You would need a Nintendo Wii and mat controller, not entirely sure whether this game comes with the mat controller.

We have numerous board games along similar Indiana Jones-y lines, recommending Escape the Curse of the Temple. Also Lost Cities and Karuba. Escape by far my preferred, if you look at them on Amazon it is likely to suggest others on this theme.

I've had a charity gift on my Amazon wishlist for a number of years but no one has bitten yet, although DF was pleased with his pair of goats last year. He only asked for one, but I thought I'd spoil him.

Bluebell9 · 24/11/2017 15:49

I want a wheelbarrow,
hair dryer
slipper boots
chocolate orange
waterproof trousers for walking the dog
and a big mug for my tea

EdmundCleverClogs · 24/11/2017 15:50

I told my partner I don’t want anything except what we need for the new baby. Not being a martyr, I’d much rather the peace of mind that we’re sorted and treat myself in January after the baby comes. Anyway, I got told off, so I’m getting;

A new dressing gown
Dark towels
New PJs
Slippers
Socks
A new, large bag/rucksack

That’s my hospital bag sorted with minimal effort Grin.

Also will get my traditional box of chocolates, if there’s a few pennies left over maybe a DVD box set - I’ve been fancying rewatching Ali McBeal of all things.

MTBMummy · 24/11/2017 15:52

I always do a list of books that I want (super cheap if you buy the used ones off amazon) If you like detective/crime I recommend Peter James and Camilla Lackberg if you haven't tried them

I have put photo/picture frames on my list this year

And puzzles I love puzzles

and kitchen gadgets, but I know I won't get those as they're too pricey

Anatidae · 24/11/2017 15:52

Oh a wheelbarrow! Yes that would be good.

Morphene · 24/11/2017 15:53

Ohhh king that looks really good!

Every year since i was 10 i have asked for a mr frosty and never got one. Ironically as i have gotten older that is literally all i have wanted!

A few years back i said if i didn't get one for xmas or birthday by the time i am 30 i will buy myself one. This is my last chance xmas!

n0ne · 24/11/2017 15:54

Amazingly this year I actually have an actual list! I'm usually clueless Grin

Heated drying rack (thanks to MN Wink)
Eternity ring
23andme DNA test
Philips Sonicare toothbrush
Food processor
Jules Brodie coat
Salad spinner
Digital kitchen scale
External hard drive
Power bank for my phone

Morphene · 24/11/2017 15:56

oh - talk of salad spinners had made me realise what a spiralizer must be doh!

Morphene · 24/11/2017 15:59

stupid question...but does mr frosty freeze stuff or is ice the input material?

I would quite like a mini freezer in my kitchen because the massive freezer in the back of my garage has been inaccessible due to JUNK for the last 5 and a half years....

diddl · 24/11/2017 16:01

I'm with you Op.

I also don't want or need anything.

If pushed-nice tea, book(s), adult colouring book & crayons.

Do you knit/crochet?-wool & pattern?

ExConstance · 24/11/2017 16:07

A new gym bag
some historical novels
music
3x cookery books (Anna Jones, Hair bikers and Hugh F.W. more veg.)
An Icelandic horse - Brown ( been on the list for 5 years now)
new Yoga clothes.
A necklace with a star on it.
A little bit of posh chocolate.

dontstopthepeach · 24/11/2017 16:09

Jo Malone stuff, but not bath oil
A new dressing gown. Long, hooded, not plastic material
Books
A camera
Nice knitwear

I have a feeling I'm going to get a knife block. I need one. I saw one in a shop when I was with DH ages ago and we had a conversation about it. It's ridiculously expensive for what it is, it's lovely that he wants to spend that much money on me, but I don't really want a knife block THAT much.

HunterofStars · 24/11/2017 16:10

Amazon vouchers so I can buy the dvds I like.
More books as I love reading. Although I have a Kindle, I still love the smell of a new book.
A new coat
Molton Brown toiletries
Chocolate in any form

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 24/11/2017 16:18

Literally anything from Omorovicza. But especially the green mud face scrub. I love all their stuff but a bit too pricey for me to justify at times other than birthdays and Christmas.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 24/11/2017 16:18

Oh and Lime Basil and Mandarin anything from Jo Molone.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 24/11/2017 16:20

I would quite like a mini freezer in my kitchen because the massive freezer in the back of my garage has been inaccessible due to JUNK for the last 5 and a half years....

Ah, in that case, what you want for Christmas is an appointment with one of those people who come and declutter for you!

Morphene · 24/11/2017 16:22

juda yes yes yes yes yes....PLEASE

eggsandwich · 24/11/2017 16:22

Every year I ask for a chainsaw, and every year my Dh says I’m not buying you a chainsaw so I’ll try again this year you never know, just would really like one and it would be so useful in our garden.

rightsaidfrederickII · 24/11/2017 16:23

Jamie Oliver 5 ingredients book
Extra long ChuckIt ball launcher for the dog (it means ball goes further when thrown)
Specific camera lens for my DSLR
Warm walking boot socks
