because I haven't got any clue. Literally no ideas at all.....and people are going to ask me what I'd like, and I'm just going to sound like an idiot saying, "I don't really want/need anything" just like I do every year.

So please tell me what you want so I can pass it off as my own opinion....

This is a good chance to hone my own list:
One of those round the waist dog leads for running with the dog
Fit bit to show how the running/ dog thing is working out (big present)
Nice bottle of Port
Rucksack that fits laptop, trainers and work papers
Nick bottle of champagne
Comfy leisure wear/ PJs with elasticated waist for Christmas slobbery
Vouchers for meals out

You can link the Fitbit to you iPad. I love my Fitbit and it has really encouraged me to take more exercise. Not for everyone but I love it - and the customer service is great too.

One of the best things I ever got from dh was a zoo-keeper for a day voucher from London Zoo. It was heaven; fed and groomed giraffes, mucked out and cuddled lemurs and had loads of great chats with the ( lovely) keepers. It was an all day thingy and we got involved with almost all of the different types of creatures. If you're not into animals then please disregard but otherwise 'twas truly fab.

PoppyFleur · 26/11/2017 17:28

ylang ylang essential oil or bath essence
small bottle of sloe liqueur (or similar dark liqueur) from eg Vom Fass, Demijohn
Belvoir Farms Winter berry cordial (ie Elderberry)
slice of nougat
a long belt :(
small hamper - my dd gets me this: cider, coffee, xmas cake, ginger preserve etc.

a phone, if you really don't have one, with an onboard camera and the "ok Google" thing. Use the camera to take pics of what you want. Or in my case, pics of what grandson wants.

grandson aged 6 enjoyed Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. Not sure what you'd play it on.

@ScribblyGum - I like unusual themes too. We have quite a nice little card game where you build up flowers from their petals and put dragonflies etc on them.

I've bought DH Warhammer Underworlds - not normally either of our kind of thing but it got good reviews as a two player game and he was keen on it so part of his present is me actually playing it! (He thinks I have just blanked his emails on the subject) We have also just ordered Sagrada though for both of us :-)

I will have to read Table Top Gaming. Usually just browse Board Game Geek and get the odd email from a games shop.

wobblywindows · 30/11/2017 20:35

of course what I really want for Christmas is my Dd to stop smoking, but I have as much chance of that as I have of receiving detailed plans for warp drive.

Coldhandscoldheart · 01/12/2017 08:25

I’ve also finally found a watch I would like, but it’s £450so that’s out. Ooo, although I could ask for contributions. Hmm.

AwakeCantSleep · 01/12/2017 08:40

I'm getting a portable digital radio with built in batteries for the upstairs of my house. It will live in my bedroom as an alarm clock and also serve my office and the bathroom.

I just want to see DGDs...nothing else. In reality it's not going to happen and I know that, but won't stop it being on the top of the list. In fact, it's the 'only' thing on the list.

tampinfuminragin · 01/12/2017 08:58
