because I haven't got any clue. Literally no ideas at all.....and people are going to ask me what I'd like, and I'm just going to sound like an idiot saying, "I don't really want/need anything" just like I do every year.

So please tell me what you want so I can pass it off as my own opinion....

Wrist warmers?wrist warmers are a thing? A thing 2 people want here. But I've never said "ooh my wrists are cold" Confused

As for me. Nothing. Literally nothing. I've managed to convince loads of people not to buy for me and I'm giddy with happiness about it. Dh is getting me a new coat.

ReinettePompadour · 24/11/2017 16:36

I want:
An old fashioned snow globe
Old fashioned music box (thousands of £s so unlikely)
Art deco bronze lady
A new purse
Bed socks
Fluffy hot water bottle
Electric blanket or an Eiderdown
Smelly candle
A lava lamp
Toblerone
Rolling pin, preferably a marble or glass one
Bag of marbles (I collect them)

I think I'm getting at least 2 off my list (Toblerone and Marbles) because if I dont get these (I have them every year) I won't be cooking Christmas dinner (DH on a day shift).

@Doggymum88 dont waste the money on Mr Frosty, which was essentially where you put the ice cubes in the top a couple at a time and put his "hat" on, and pushed it down with one hand while you rotated the turner at the back to produce the slushie effect -

Did you have in domestic science classes those hand held graters with the level, this was it encased in a plastic snowman that you had to push the ice cubes down into really hard. Got some paper cups with it and flavours, now as a kid i loved my E numbers and consumed more than my fair share but 8 year old me remembers the flavours when mixed with slushie were downright disgusting and disappointing,

There was 2 or 3 of each flavour so when i had tried and was sick after the first session, it wasnt even much i took, literally a mouthful before would throw up as taste was awful,

My mum took it out of my toy circulation for a couple of months to see if would make any difference and left me playing with something else, a couple of months later we had a repeat with only a mouthful of flavouring as before and plenty of ice and same result, the paper cups were long gone by then, the flavourings horrible so Mr Frosty disappeared one day never to be seen again

@GrumpyOldFucker I read about Sagradia in the last edition on Table Top Gaming magazine. Doesn't it look lovely? Right up my street no one getting destroyed

In my family we all buy each other board games. Ive bought the dds Rhino Hero Super Battle which looks bonkers, and for dh Season 2 of Pandemic Legacy and the Game of Thrones card game.

I am being no help to my poor DH at all, who is desperate to know what I want. At the moment I have said:

Socks
Running capri tights

I suppose I could ask for some new running shoes, too, but I won't really need those until it's my birthday and I should save something for then!

Posh balsalmic vinegar is a good one, might add that to the list.

And that is it. I really don't need anything! I'm not one of those people who can think "oh well it''s a present I'll have something indulgent", it doesn't work with me, if I have something that works, I keep it until it breaks.

My mum is getting me a Which? subscription. She's already bought me a top earlier in the year and said it could be part of my Christmas present.

I suppose what I could really so with is a personal shopping session with someone who really knows what they are doing. I could do with refreshing my wardrobe for workwear and the odd thing for special occasions. I wear things so infrequently they've been in my wardrobe for years and must be horribly out of date.

Sparklesocks · 24/11/2017 18:54

Nice Candles
Vouchers - accessorize, asos etc
Make up brushes
PJs
Lippie

AnnabellaH · 24/11/2017 18:58

I want a bottle of Louis Roederer. But I don't even like champagne. Someone close to me said it tastes delicious and know I can't get it out of my bloody head until I try it.

Also a day pass to somewhere with a pool and a sauna/jacuzzi where I can be alone for at least 8hrs.

Chrys2017 · 24/11/2017 18:58

*I want:

A spiralizer*

May I recommend that you get one of the ones that is shaped like a 'peeler' and not the ones that are shaped like a pencil sharpener where you insert the vegetable into them. The latter look good in theory but just mush the vegetables, especially courgettes! I learned the hard way after wasting a tenner!

PenelopePear · 24/11/2017 19:05

I'm buying this: www.amazon.co.uk/Hainworth-Leather-Motor-recliner-massage/dp/B005IX1RGA/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&keywords=Hainworth+Leather+Dual+Motor+riser+recliner+chair+with+heat+and+massage&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1511052880&sr=1-1 for myself for Christmas. I was hoping for a drop in price on black Friday but no luck. No matter, I've saved hard for it and will be horizontal on Christmas Day Grin

HildaZelda · 24/11/2017 19:28

There's a beautiful five stone ring in my local jewellers that I've been lusting over since the summer, but as it's almost two grand, sadly it'll be staying there. I wouldn't expect DH to spend that amount of money on a Christmas present.
Realistically? I don't actually know. There's nothing in particular that I'm after and DH is the same.
He's INCREDIBLY hard to buy for anyway, so I just don't know.
I did suggest that we don't buy each other anything (or else just something very small) and put the money towards a weekend break somewhere in the new year instead.
