Skip to 33. The calendar that her own company makes she says it's all down to boots and they choose the £50 price. She's been doing products for years and has full ownership of her company. She's not new or anything to releasing products

It's been on sale for two months and it's her name on it and was apparently only sad in the last few days when the backlash started.

Her body language is all off, avoiding eye contact and looking around. She says shes not in it for the money but has a long history of releasing cheap stuff for high prices.

Whoever is managing her is doing a shocking job, she needs proper advice. She's useless at honesty damage limitation.

I cannot understand why the back lash for this is just coming out now. The weekend of their event, someone posted on here a video of a YouTuber opening the windows to the crap.

It's disgusting and if other adults behaved this way to children (e.g. teachers, coaches, volunteers) then they'd be reported under concern forms for safeguarding.

To the poster saying she's set up for life. She and her boyfriend own 8 houses between them (I know BTL is always seen as almost charity work on mn rather than a cause of the housing shortage...) And she may have loads of money. But she is surrounded by hanger ons that just use her, including her own boyfriend. She's regressed to being a teenager stuck doing lame content for 12 year old girls.

Most of gleam don't have much of a career left anyway.

I don’t believe she is a genuinely nasty person. She likely started the whole vlogging thing with the best intentions but she’s been dragged into the consumer-driven agenda that now occupies it and can’t find a way out.

You cannot follow a Youtuber or Instamum these days without being bombarded with #ad. It’s really sad and a dangerous money-making game. It’s a shame that more of the target audience can’t see that yet.

Midlife Chic posted about advent calenders this week and said a lot of them are loss leaders for the companies which means we are probably getting used to getting more than our moneys worth, there's loads of info on line claiming e.g. the M&S advent calendar has over £250 worth of products in it.

If Zoella's advent calendar isn't a loss leader is it any worse than these John Lewis crackers? I think they are all terrible value TBH.

CountFosco no teenager is going to want them crackers though and pressure their parents to buy them!

heckneck Zoe was already popular before she got with Alfie, very well known given that YouTube wasn't as big as it is now IYKWIM. Alfie got popular off her back.

The stuff about Alfie asking for workout pics is disgusting but Zoe isn't any better. When the whole controversy arose about her snapchat photo showing her in her pants, her tween minions started posting photos of themselves in their underwear in alliance and she did nothing to stop them. I saw some horrid photos of girls who only looked about 8-9 stood in their knickers before they got taken down and all Zoe did was sit back and do nothing as per usual.
