To think M&S is trying to ruin Halloween by lying to me?!

(Light hearted of course!)

I’m going to a Halloween party with good friends of mine, and whenever we’re together for a special occasion we always get a Colin the Caterpillar cake because it’s delicious.

We saw adverts for a Count Colin the Caterpillar cake - their special Halloween version - and we’ve all checked in lots of M&S stores, but haven’t seen one anywhere! We’ve been to stores in London, Oxford, and Birmingham (we all live in different cities), and though they have lots of other fun Halloween treats, we can’t find Count Colin in a single shop. We checked online and you can’t order him there either!

So... am I being unreasonable to think that Count Colin was a clever ruse by M&S all along, or has anyone else managed to find one?!

I disagree that this is a lighthearted matter.

(No I can't find him anywhere either and I'm furious)

youokayhun · 23/10/2017 20:17

I saw a pack of 5 mini count Colin's in my local, I wish I'd bought them now as concerned I may have come across the winning lotto ticket without realising!!!

WhatwouldAryado · 23/10/2017 20:19

I think we need to March on HQ over this...(could it be a use by date thing?)

orecchietti · 23/10/2017 20:24

That's the only thing for it, whatwould. I'll start thinking up witty puns to out on placards when I'm less sleepy.

orecchietti · 23/10/2017 20:26

"Give us COUNT COLIN, or COUNT us out!"

orecchietti · 23/10/2017 20:26

"We thought we could COUNT on you M&S"

ambereeree · 23/10/2017 20:27

Don't count on M&S for the count
This is a serious matter

Ronnyhotdog · 23/10/2017 20:27

They had them in my local m&s today in the south lakes. I'm sorry you're having a tough time.

BitOutOfPractice · 23/10/2017 20:28

I didn't even know Count Colin existed till just now and even I'm furious!

We want Colin on our plate!!

I’m so glad to hear other people have found him though- it means he’s not a mirage! Maybe we’ll have to take a (big) detour on the way to the party to get him.

Call customer services they’ll be able to tell you where they are stocked.

orecchietti · 23/10/2017 20:31

Look at his little face!

pelmeni · 23/10/2017 20:32

Open your eyes people, you've never seen him because Count Colin is a feudal lord. He doesn't have time for us plebs and sends Percy pig to do his dirty work, the bougeoise swine. The only solution is revolution.

marriedtogrumpy · 23/10/2017 20:33

Is your friend in Birmingham close to the Longbridge branch? They were putting them out on display yesterday afternoon.

64BooLane · 23/10/2017 20:34

I’m glad to have been able to alert everyone to Count Colin, and hope M&S starts putting them in more shops soon so everyone can eat him ...!
