To think M&S is trying to ruin Halloween by lying to me?!

(Light hearted of course!)

I’m going to a Halloween party with good friends of mine, and whenever we’re together for a special occasion we always get a Colin the Caterpillar cake because it’s delicious.

We saw adverts for a Count Colin the Caterpillar cake - their special Halloween version - and we’ve all checked in lots of M&S stores, but haven’t seen one anywhere! We’ve been to stores in London, Oxford, and Birmingham (we all live in different cities), and though they have lots of other fun Halloween treats, we can’t find Count Colin in a single shop. We checked online and you can’t order him there either!

So... am I being unreasonable to think that Count Colin was a clever ruse by M&S all along, or has anyone else managed to find one?!

You think that's bad... the one MandS in my country was due to close this month (sob) and I went there to stock up on tea, nice ready meals etc only to find out that the bastarding bastards had run out of stock so closed down 3weeks early :(

NerosFiddle · 23/10/2017 21:45

They had them in my local store yesterday in NI

TattyCat · 23/10/2017 21:45

Pah. Pah, pah, pah. Sod off with your "M&S down the road from me doesn't have what I want WAH WAH WAH".

I'd give my right arm to have an M&S anywhere within reasonable driving distance. I'm cross. REALLY cross. Waaaaaaaaah I NEED M&S food. ANY M&S food!!! OK, so cheesy puffs are the most needed - I make no apologies

AuntyElle · 23/10/2017 21:45

"This is no ordinary Colin...
This is Count Colin..."

smallandimperfectlyformed · 23/10/2017 21:46

I saw one in Bexleyheath on Saturday - London/Kent

Losgann · 23/10/2017 21:48

PennyPent · 23/10/2017 22:07

Tomorrow I go in pursuit of Count Colin!

BIG Colin fan here... we're having giant Colin and Connie as our wedding cakes next year. M&S claim each serves 40...they clearly haven't met me, my family, or friends! Grin

JustDanceAddict · 23/10/2017 22:10

Giant Wedding cake Colins - OMG!

PoohBearsHole · 23/10/2017 22:14

2017SoFarSoGood · 23/10/2017 22:15

I have never tasted (nor indeed heard of) Colin, be he a count or otherwise. So why am I sitting here feeling inordinately sad that I have not only no Count Colin cake, but actually no stinking rotten M&S anywhere in the entire enormous country?

Sometimes you lot just don't think.

They had some in Basingstoke last week. Although I bought Witches Fingers instead.

TattyCat · 23/10/2017 22:39

Loads of Big Boy Colins in my M and S today (small town on east coast)
In fact there was a display of them guarding the entrance to the grocery section.
Wish I'd bought one now - I was feeling guilty about having had a kit kat earlier so bought some healthy nut shit instead Sad

busyboysmum · 23/10/2017 22:44

They had loads in our local M&S because ds3 spotted them and thought they were great.

SomethingAboutNothing · 23/10/2017 22:54

Essex where is this wondrous place you talk of?

BowDownWitches · 23/10/2017 22:56

@KurriKurri why WHY for the healthy nuts ... tomorrow we’ll both go get a Colin!!

Very happy to hear reports of Count Colin in the shops. Will be going out this week to get him! Pray all you lot haven’t bought them all first!!!
