Equality for everyone!!! Hurrah!!

Apart from the fact that equality means the erosion of rights from 50% of the population.

But let’s jump on the bandwagon of being cool and accepting....and not doing any research into the subject, for example how drugs that suppress puberty can result in life limiting side effects.

Let’s not talk about men convicted of rape who end up in women’s prisons or the medals won by men competing in women’s sport.

Agghh

Thank you all you amazing women at Mumsnet who made me aware of the reality of this last year. I'm in the fight now alongside all of you.

TitaniasCloset · 21/10/2017 23:22

Flowers Florence I know. But we have to try!

Florence16 · 21/10/2017 23:26

I feel so convinced they won’t listen that I bury my head for long periods but it just keeps coming up again and again. Letters to MPs won’t do it. What can we do that will actually get our voices heard?

Rumandraisin1 · 21/10/2017 23:30

Thank you all you amazing women at Mumsnet who made me aware of the reality of this last year. I'm in the fight now alongside all of you.

I feel embarrassed that I used to think they were just a bunch of bigots when they saw what was going on a lot sooner than I did. Blush

Albadross · 21/10/2017 23:31

Florence if you find out do let me know - I’m prepared to fight for this too 💪🏽

53rdWay · 21/10/2017 23:38

I feel embarrassed that I used to think they were just a bunch of bigots when they saw what was going on a lot sooner than I did.

Same here. And for many of us I think. Seriously pissed off with myself for spending so long listening to liberal feminists and a bunch of blokes tell me what ‘real’ feminism was.

We need a big march that is well publicised, and a coordinated social media offence. For this we need some money, but we have none and the trans activist movement is funded really well.

We need to appoint a few feminist to take charge of contacting people in the media or people with a platform to fight with us. Also make peace with fundamentalist Christian and alternative news groups.

The Richie Allen show is a good platform but so many of you will dismiss him because of his connection with David Icke, but I asked him a couple of months ago to have a well known feminist on his show, he agreed via twitter but it didn't happen.

Another far more shitty platform is the Alex Jones show and info wars. But I don't trust them at all, plus we would have to choose the prettiest most glamorous of us to go on that show.

That's alternative media. If you know how to get seen on mainstream media by all means let us know.

I have a tiny little YouTube channel, if I knew what to say I would make a video too.

TitaniasCloset · 21/10/2017 23:49

We need a few leaders! Who are in touch with each other and an army of organised women to keep in touch with everyone else.

Maybe start with a central website?

TitaniasCloset · 21/10/2017 23:52

I have no money to contribute but I could sell a few nice dresses on eBay to get cash to contribute if we had one central website.

TitaniasCloset · 21/10/2017 23:55

Also if anyone needs somewhere to meet up you can use my house, I will provide tea and biscuits.

53rdWay · 21/10/2017 23:55

No, I really don’t think cosying up to fundamentalists is the way to go. People already think we’re just super-conservative bigots, so they don’t have to listen. It’s really important that they hear there are other reasons people have problems with trans activism.

53rdWay · 21/10/2017 23:57

Also I think mainstream media may be sloooooowly coming round. The Guardian has run a couple of gender-critical pieces on trans issues recently, I was really surprised.

TitaniasCloset · 22/10/2017 00:16

Ok I get the hesitation with Christian fundamentalist, but it's still worth keeping channels of communication open with them.

How about everyone who feels able to makes a short video in the next month, using the facts and stats the clever amongst us provide and we post that video - even if it's shit to our social media?

The problem is we need to centralise and Mumsnet is probably not the place, they will soon get fucked off with us understandable.

I still think the Richie Allen show should have one of us on. Just listen to some of his latest shows about this. I'm no good as I have big trouble remembering facts and figures. So it needs to be someone smarter than me. I would go on with her if she is shy.

TitaniasCloset · 22/10/2017 00:18

Those that can write need to write their blogs or articles in a time limit.

Again if someone could put together lots of facts and figures and set up a website or use one that's already going that would be great.

But remember we need to reach out to women who are not feminists or intellectuals too.

Yes, AGP is the real elephant in the room.

There was a thread on here a while back about a website called Mrs Gloss? A poster was feeling a little uncomfortable by what she thought was an influx of autogynephiles getting off on talking to women on it.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2908600-AIBU-to-be-grossed-out-Autogynaphila-and-Mrs-Goss

It was the devil of a thread. Because people are resistant to the thought that there is a significant majority of transwomen who are sexual fetishists.

It doesn’t fit the narrative. However, once you see it, you cannot unsee it. It becomes blindingly obvious and you only wonder how you didn’t see it before. Bruce Jenner, Frank Maloney, Zoey Tur, those brothers who directed the Matrix and wore women’s knickers under their tuxedos at the awards ceremony.

Bruce Jenner actually had an audience laughing about how he used to dress up in his daughters clothes when they were 10 or 12 and was worried about being caught. He makes it sound a little camp and funny. When in actual fact he is masturbating into children’s underwear.

TitaniasCloset · 22/10/2017 00:23

It needs to be a mix of us. All the clever clogs with the high powered jobs and big ejumacations as my granny would say, and normal working class women like me. It needs a broad appeal, that's why I'm hesitant or asking 4th wave to use their site because the women I know won't have a fecking clue what 4th wave feminism is and would be put off by that. But of course linking and sharing resources, great.

Datun · 22/10/2017 00:24

( disclaimer, I have got a little tetchy towards the end of that Mrs gloss thread)

Datun · 22/10/2017 00:29

There is a good website called a woman’s place UK. They are organised and could probably do with some support.

m.facebook.com/womansplaceuk/#!/womansplaceuk/

Also SAGES. Some mumsnetters are there.

sages.org.uk/

TitaniasCloset · 22/10/2017 00:31

Perhaps if we do a social media video drop, we could come up with ten points to express. The first five will be easily understandable for those that want to do short snappy videos and the full ten getting a bit deeper.

Or are people frightened of doing this? Would it affect your jobs and friendships?

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 22/10/2017 05:01

Like Datun said, [[https://m.facebook.com/womansplaceuk/#!/womansplaceuk/
A Woman's Place]] and Sages are both well worth getting involved with.

Writing to your MP is good, although they do apparently screen out template letters so even if you use one as a base, it's good to mix things up a bit.

I share articles about this on Facebook. The recent one in the
Standard about the Tories and trans policies was perfect for that because it explained things clearly & without jargon.

I'm often surprised at who likes them.

TitaniasCloset · 22/10/2017 05:17

That article from the standard was amazing. I have shared it as much as I can.

TitaniasCloset · 22/10/2017 05:18

I don't do much Facebook anymore though.they seem to have an agenda.

Florence16 · 22/10/2017 06:09

I don’t have any social media (for fear of being found/stalked) but sounds like a good idea, as well as a central website and a petition. Are there any petitions already out there we could grab and run with?

TitaniasCloset · 22/10/2017 06:12

How will we find a few leaders of this movement? Who has it in them to just take charge? It would be proper hard work.
