17 year old girl walking home sexually assaulted by multiple, unconnected men

An absolutely horrendous case in which a 17 year old girl trying to get home on a night out was subject to multiple serious sexual assaults it seems by men completely unconnected to one another. What does this say about society, that different men in a small geographical location within the space of an hour all had such contempt for women and girls they chose to commit these abhorrent attacks on her? It's hideous. I don't usually start threads in this section of the board but I feel so enraged by these attacks and feel more should be aware of this misogyny.

You're insinuating this 17 year old girl is lying about what happened, based on nothing more than your belief that another woman lied once in the past. It's a totally crass thing to do. What were you trying to achieve?

Absolutely vile how people jump in to attack and undermine girls who've been assaulted by men. Can you imagine if people did it regarding attacks on boys and men?

I've been working and checking in on this thread all day NoLove, my God it's taken some weird turns. It's really run the gamut, we've had victim blaming, NAMALT, some dancing around racism and some bizarre derails. That poor girl, I'm ready to take to the streets with a spoon and a pot and maybe a baseball bat. Especially that guy with the bike. For some reason the dude pushing his bike along the sidewalk really pisses me off. What was his thought process? "I'll just lay this down here for a minute"

I don't think it's that serious to have it pulled immediately. I would have thought after me explaining I was obviously thick enough to get the wrong end of it, people would calm down.
