I was only half-joking about the uniform. (By 'popular demand' - something unique for the CIC.) He has a ......leetle problem with appropriate medal ribbons of course.

I don't think the military will get to it, Gump. It's not until next July at the earliest.

Didn't Trump want a big military parade for 4th July 17? I thought the idea was firmly slapped down by the military as being "not the sort of thing we do in America".

The way things are going I'd be surprised if we get to July 2018 without WW3 going on.

I can never understand why the big nuclear countries don't realise that telling other countries 'No you can't have nuclear weapons, we don't care if we have them, do as we say, not as we do.' is not going to make other nations just say, 'Sure, we'll stop developing right away'

I've watched these threads from the beginning but never really had anything to say that hadn't already been said, and have always been in awe of the all the contributors, the info you all give us has been a real education. Scarily I now know more about the US gov and systems than my ex, who is American and actually voted for Trump.
