The Vegas strip, Grand Canyon and experience in general left me star struck
I live in Ireland and there is a drive to Newcastle, CoDown from Belfast and it is just breath taking.
Also the Mourne coastal route to warrenpoint, then over to Carlingford. Just beautiful!

The Blarney Stone

The drive through the curragh in CoKildare. The most beautiful plantlife in what looks like grey baron land.
I fucking love Ireland 🇮🇪

Charlotte I loved the leaning tower also.
And the churches / basilicas around it. Just awesome. Made me proud to be Roman Catholic.

And the pizza they sold on the side of the square...literally sent from heaven

The rice terraces in Bali.

-Late night driving around Paris
-Betws y coed

  • unknown road(s) from Florence to Siena (I obviously love driving)
-The wraparound view of the Atlas Mountains from the rooftop of my Riad just outside of Marrakesh. -NYC!!! (If anyone says it's just like London, it's a lie!)
  • cycling around Southern Sweden. Lomma was eerily inspiring.

I still have a lot of traveling to do, love these two travel threads (I've crossed Dubai and Egypt off my list Grin)

For me, without question it has to be the Grand Canyon. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to walk down from the South Rim to Phantom Ranch, spend a night under the stars there, then walk out to the North Rim the next day. It was a long, strenuous walk, about 25 miles overall, and it was one of the highlights of my life.

I worked on a cruise ship in my early twenties and I still remember the awe of sailing along the Hudson River looking at the Manhatten skyline and Statue of Liberty at 6 in the morning with Neil Diamonds coming to America on my Sony disc man.
Other greats...
Ephesus
Norwegian fijords
Salisbury cathedral had a wonderful atmosphere
Jerusalem (it made up for a v disappointing Bethlehem)
Barcelona and everything Gaudi
Blenheim palace
Stonehenge from a distance whilst driving past at dusk as a child, never felt the Erge to return for a proper visit as felt I'd seen it.
Disney world Florida on a very quiet day was magical, like being a child again.
Priory bay and st Helens, Isle of Wight

Wai'ale'ale crater in Kauai. We flew inside it on a helicopter tour and I was gobsmacked.

WeeChoochyFace · 15/09/2017 21:29

St Vitus Cathedral, Prague. Stunning.
Notre Dame. Love a gargoyle!
The Angkor Wat complex, Cambodia

Gormless · 15/09/2017 22:22

Kings College Chapel, Cambridge: breathtaking. The roof is just incredible.

Echoing previous posters, Dachau concentration camp: chilling but a profound, unforgettable experience

The prairies of Alberta: endless, overwhelming beauty and tranquility.

And actually...I still always get a buzz from visiting central London too
